Agriculture? Yeah, probably. It isn't a long stop from gathering to, "gathering would be so much easier if these plants were closer together". I've long thought that agriculture was invented by a pregnant women who got tired of walking from camp to her favorite clump of berry bushes, and decided to transplant a few to a spot near the camp.
