Unfortunately, the current Pope is still a theistic evolutionist and higher critic.

In fact evolution has nothing to do with man. Theistic evolution is darwin-evolution-lite. There’s no reason why the bible isn’t accurate and God made man as described. If he can raise the dead He can make a man out of the ground. If He can make the entire universe just by speaking it into existence there is no need for evolution and the account of the bible is what it says it is.

He is Risen!

Benedict emphasized the Biblical account of creation in his Easter Vigil homily Saturday, saying it was wrong to think at some point "in some tiny corner of the cosmos there evolved randomly some species of living being capable of reasoning

Since when does the church recognize reason?

Whenever I try and talk "reasonably" with someone who is a follower of organized/revealed religion, the person with whom I'm conversing inevitably falls back on the "faith" argument.

Sounds like at least one person in the Vatican gets it...

The following paragraph is totally wrong.....

The Vatican, however, warns against creationism, or the overly literal interpretation of the Bibilical account of creation.

That is just a statement made by a persons not filled with the Spirit of Christ, simple as that!

I think of randomness as a type of creative force, but to say that everything evolution produces is entirely random is a fallacy. I do believe it is part of the process though.

And we as intelligent beings use randomness as the best way to solve some very difficult problems.
