It is fascinating! Only yesterday, the pastor asked if the parish had previously celebrated “Coming to the Harbor” on Monday of Holy Week. I said "no". I was so intrigued by his description of the feast and today, stumbled upon the description to share with my fellow Catholics.

Tomorrow, on Hosanna (Palm) Sunday, the church will be packed to overflowing. Children will arrive, dressed in their Easter finery - girls in beautiful gowns and boys in 3 piece suits - each one carrying a candle decorated with symbols of the season. The candle represents Jesus, the Light of the World. It's SRO Sunday - with a procession of all the faithful carrying palms out the doors and down the street. Just beautiful!

**The “Coming to the Harbor” is an old rite of the Maronite Church. It reminds us that Jesus is the Harbor of Salvation. The ship or the vessel, which is the Church, and often compared to Mary the New Vessel of life, reaches the Harbor after the safe journey of Lent. **

So interesting. I missed that in my first scan of your post.
