Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Exodus 17

Water from the Rock

1. Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the LORD, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink. 2. Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.”
So Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the LORD?”
3. And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”
4. So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!” 5. And the LORD said to Moses, “Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river, and go. 6. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7. So he called the name of the place Massah[a] and Meribah,[b] because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?”

Victory over the Amalekites

8. Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
9. And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” 10. So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
14. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.” 15. And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner;[c] 16. for he said, “Because the LORD has sworn: the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father In Heaven,
Blessed and Glorious Is Your Most Holy and Wonderful Name!
We Come Into Your Presence With Singing
and Into Your Courts With Praise.
For Your Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are the True God of Abraham!
How We Want To Love You and Serve You with Our Whole Heart,
Our Whole Soul,
Our Whole Mind,
And Our Whole Strength!
Let Your Holy Word Be Written Deep Upon Our Hearts,
Bound upon Our Right Hands,
And as a Frontlet Between Our Eyes!
Let Your Promises in Your Word never Depart from Us,
Oh Father, for even when we murmur and are unfaithful,
YOU ARE FOREVER FAITHFUL.

LORD,we Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
We pray for peace to flow like Living Water
from the One True Rock and Redeemer.
Like Cool Refreshing Water
from the Stricken Rock in the Desert,
Refresh Your People Israel,
and give them rest from their enemies,
who press in from all sides.
Be a Fresh Blue Oasis for Them
in the midst of a harsh dry Wilderness of Sin
that threatens to crush them from every angle.

We pray also for the few faithful leaders in the USA
that care for Israel and Her people.
May They be refreshed and strengthened.
We pray for Bibi and others in Israel's government
that they may be refreshed by the Living Water of the Rock.
We pray for and END to Antisemitism,
Piracy,
Hostage-Taking,
and Slavery everywhere in the World.
We lift up Jews and Christians who are STILL in Bondage
in Hostile Countries EVEN in these Modern Times.
May they Be Refreshed.
We Eagerly and Anxiously Await the Glorious Coming of Messiah,
May it be SOON, Please God!

HALLELUJAH AND AMEN

The battle is raging even more fiercely and the most powerful weapon will be used until ordered to cease.

Psalm 94

God the Avenger of the Righteous

1 O Lord, you God of vengeance,
you God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 Rise up, O judge of the earth;
give to the proud what they deserve!
3 O Lord, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked exult?

4 They pour out their arrogant words;
all the evildoers boast.
5 They crush your people, O Lord,
and afflict your heritage.
6 They kill the widow and the stranger,
they murder the orphan,
7 and they say, ‘The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob does not perceive.’

8 Understand, O dullest of the people;
fools, when will you be wise?
9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear?
He who formed the eye, does he not see?
10 He who disciplines the nations,
he who teaches knowledge to humankind,
does he not chastise?
11 The Lord knows our thoughts,*
that they are but an empty breath.

12 Happy are those whom you discipline, O Lord,
and whom you teach out of your law,
13 giving them respite from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
15 for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
17 If the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
18 When I thought, ‘My foot is slipping’,
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
19 When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
20 Can wicked rulers be allied with you,
those who contrive mischief by statute?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the Lord has become my stronghold,
and my God the rock of my refuge.
23 He will repay them for their iniquity
and wipe them out for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will wipe them out.

Heavenly Father may you continue to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation, may you smash every crooked deed as they try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to the nations as you did this time in history:

http://jn1838.blogspot.com/2010/02/battle-of-lepanto-battle-that-saved.html

May you block and undo every policy and piece of legislation they have passed that is harmful to this nation. May you make every policy they make fail and may you turn the hearts of the multitudes against them. May you thwart every evil deed they try to divide this nation. May you make every attempt to lie, deceive and twist the truth be stopped and overcome by the truth. May they never have an advantage in anything. May you bring their own mischief upon them ten fold. This day we shatter the clay jar of Jeremiah 19 in their faces. May you punish those in our government who are lawless traitors and also enemies of Israel by exposing them and deliver them into our hands for justice. May all who witness this come to know that this is by your hand that these things are happening. We also pray for our enemies that they learn of your reality through this and that they may find redemption through Christ.

And this we humbly ask in Jesus name.

Psalm 37

Exhortation to Patience and Trust
Of David.

1 Do not fret because of the wicked;
do not be envious of wrongdoers,
2 for they will soon fade like the grass,
and wither like the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday.

7 Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices.

8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath.
Do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For the wicked shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

10 Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look diligently for their place, they will not be there.
11 But the meek shall inherit the land,
and delight in abundant prosperity.

12 The wicked plot against the righteous,
and gnash their teeth at them;
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that their day is coming.

14 The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to kill those who walk uprightly;
15 their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.

16 Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will abide for ever;
19 they are not put to shame in evil times,
in the days of famine they have abundance.

20 But the wicked perish,
and the enemies of the Lord are like the glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like smoke they vanish away.

21 The wicked borrow, and do not pay back,
but the righteous are generous and keep giving;
22 for those blessed by the Lord shall inherit the land,
but those cursed by him shall be cut off.

23 Our steps* are made firm by the Lord,
when he delights in our* way;
24 though we stumble,* we* shall not fall headlong,
for the Lord holds us* by the hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
26 They are ever giving liberally and lending,
and their children become a blessing.

27 Depart from evil, and do good;
so you shall abide for ever.
28 For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.

The righteous shall be kept safe for ever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land,
and live in it for ever.

30 The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom,
and their tongues speak justice.
31 The law of their God is in their hearts;
their steps do not slip.

32 The wicked watch for the righteous,
and seek to kill them.
33 The Lord will not abandon them to their power,
or let them be condemned when they are brought to trial.

34 Wait for the Lord, and keep to his way,
and he will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on the destruction of the wicked.

35 I have seen the wicked oppressing,
and towering like a cedar of Lebanon.*
36 Again I* passed by, and they were no more;
though I sought them, they could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless, and behold the upright,
for there is posterity for the peaceable.
38 But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed;
the posterity of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
he is their refuge in the time of trouble.
40 The Lord helps them and rescues them;
he rescues them from the wicked, and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.

_____________________________________________________________

It it me or is this a contradictory statement. We speak of Amalek today. I'm missing something here. Their descendants are living yet.

Heavenly Father, we are blessed by Your word, our treasure. We are blessed with life, and every need is provided for in this world. There are things we do not understand. We ask for wisdom, and knowledge, from thee.

Moses whom loved thee and served thee for many years in the end disobeyed thy word when he struck the rock instead of speaking to it and he was not allowed to enter the promised land. If God was so with Moses we are in a situation where we take God's grace for granted and we believe we can do anything and God will forgive it. Think on this, God desires us to be obedient to his commands. Still. To serve god is our purpose, let us be light and slt to those we meet. Father, we cry for thy help in being discerning and we cry for the peace of Israel, Jerusalem and America. We love thee. Amen

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.”

The rock that is Yah'shua, who provides living water.

Yah'shua the rock, who when he came the first time was struck.
