I just scanned the postg, but I didn’t see any mention of the crusaders destroying any Jewish communities they encountered on the way to the Holy Land.

This is why I get so angry when I hear the argument that the west is hated because of rock music and blue jeans. They have hated us and anyone who is not one of them, forever.
I do not feel guilty or intimidated by them for my way of life. And I recent our “president” for apologizing for it.
Nothing new here for anyone who actually studies the crusades. But an excellent summary for those who simply take the liberal guilt account for granted.

Hmmmm, let's see. I guess you are referring to the Canaanites as they were living in Canaan when Joshua and the Israelites invaded the land, and it subsequently was divided up among the tribes of Israel. I doubt there would have been any need for a Crusade had the Jews (Israelites) been governing the Holy Land. The problem is Islam, not Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion outside of Islam.
Using this same idiot "logic" I guess the U.S., after 9/11, now has the moral justification to kill muslims for 1,000 years.

The Crusades set Islam back long enough to allow the West to dramatically upgrade mankind’s culture and government. Too bad weakness in the latter centuries has cost us so much ground. The war is still going on, whether or not the West wants to admit it. Islam knows it.
