People around the world now have a new way to learn about Joseph Smith, the founder and first president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A film called Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration is now available online, marking the first time the Church has shared a full-length film on the Internet.
When the title of the thread has in parenthesis (Real Mormon/LDS) what is that supposed to mean?
Are there fake Mormons or fake LDS?
Is this a Mormon/LDS only thread?
Hello there. All LDS threads I create now are open season to all attackers if you choose to do so. The “caucus” designation was shown to be sometimes ineffectual anyway.
The “REAL” designation is my attempt to convey the message that their have been some threads that may have conveyed the message that they were posted by LDS persons when they were not. that’s all.
That is just creepy.
Marrying several and making them dress like extras from Little House on the Prairie is fine though.
I pray the One true God of all show you the narrow way, through Jesus Christ and no other, to salvation.
And how he spoke of false prophets who bring man-made burdensome yokes like; celestial marriages, baptism of the dead the necessity of a recommendation of any bishop or other man to enter into His divine Grace.
God is eternal, omnipotent , with out beginning or end. There is no other god-like state or world(s) we can achieve through man inspired doctrine.
In Matthew 13 Jesus explains clearly where the lost people of the LDS cult are.
Joseph Smith was a thorny weed.
I pray for the souls of those who have been deceived.
I can see what you mean.
Here’s another way to look at it.
When you say worried I will assume you mean you are worried about threats to the nation. I would agree with you that Islam presents a much more immediate physical threat.
But, how much more important is a man’s, or indeed a Nation’s, soul than his life?
I believe that our eternal souls and the salvation of that soul through Jesus Christ is far more important than our earthly safety and security.
When I see Mormonism through that prism I see the LDS as a far greater threat to America than Islam.
No. What really happened was this: Paragon Defender got in trouble with Jim Rob for abusing the caucus label to post really inflamatory or controversial stuff without people being able to come in and debate. JR even broke the caucus label on one of Paragon Defender's threads to have a say on the inflamatory stuff PD was saying. JR then took away the Mormon caucus label.
See posts #17 and #158 from this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/2650662/posts?q=1&;page=1
(the above was originally a caucus thread, but the title was altered by Jim Rob or the mods)
Thanks for posting!! I think we will watch it Monday night for Family Home Evening, since this weekend we will be too busy being “indoctrinated” by the General Authorities (as others on this website would call it!) at General Conference. Can’t wait to hear the words of our Prophet!!
Looked at “promormon”, no answers just a guys blog.
Looked at “answeringantimormons”, no answers, just a guy crying because no one likes him and him trashing the Bible and Christians.
It doesn’t say anything about when the nephite exhibit will open at the Smithsonian.
Looked here “lightplanet”, nope no answers here. Just some guys complaining about Christians.
Didn’t look here “mormonwiki”, anything with wiki attached is a waste of time.
I’ve stopped giving those sites any “hits”. They do not and cannot objectively and truthfully “address” anything.
Their purpose is to sell the doctrine, to convince investigators to convert.
Not to clarify/explain/address it.
They’re not official (sanitized) sources of information, they are the personal observations/opinions of men.
Wait!? Where have I heard that before?
Looked here “mormonapologetics” stopped reading after the big article about Limbaugh becoming a mormon.
Looked here “fairlds”, just people complaining about Christians, no answers.
Been to both of these sites hundreds of times “scriptures.lds, and lds” no answers there either, just fluff.
You got it. It will be the last time I visit unofficial lds sites, with no answers just bashing of Christians and complaining no one likes them.
