I’m sorry; but I come from Huguenot ancestry. That is MY history. The Catholic Church’s priests KILLED people who did not agree with them. - I also do not like (an understatement) the Catholic Church’s history of allowing pedophile priests to prey on young boys in its ranks; then just shuffling the nasty, spoiled priests around to some other parish to prey on the youth there. Hypocrisy - the leaven that Christ warned against.

Too much water has gone under the bridge in the past 2,000 years.

ok, cool, 400 years ago, the French kings attacked your ancestors. You would have ancestry from both sides of that ideological divide. So some of your ancestors killed the other.

That's sad and we should pray for all

However, this is the here and now about a man who came from the OPC to the Church. Your post has no relevance to this man's story.

And focusing on the here and now, this is what the article says, in case you didn't read it
Pro-life and Contraception: There is only one church that has been consistent from the time of Christ to today on the teaching of pro—life and contraception. Before 1930 there was never a single Christian church in history to accept any form of contraception and today there is only one that absolutely has kept this Christian teaching and truth.

....

I am asking my friends to pray for my family’s journey and me as I truly seek to be closer to Christ. My relationship with Christ is the most important thing in my life and I hope my friends will stand by me, as I grow closer to Him.

Note --> I am asking my friends to pray for my family’s journey and me as I truly seek to be closer to Christ. My relationship with Christ is the most important thing in my life and I hope my friends will stand by me, as I grow closer to Him. -- this is one man's personal journey. He has not criticized where he came from, hardly even mentioned them besides saying he was inspired there.

"Too much water has gone under the bridge in the past 2,000 years."

If you were a 2000 year old bridge you would indeed have a lot of water passed under you but that wouldn't change the fact of your being 2000 years old.

Hi Twinkie, I am a former Roman Catholic of 27 years whom God led out of the Church of Rome into His marvelous light.

Scripture and history convinced me that many claims of Rome are false. The yoke of Marian dogma, Papal claims, purgatory, etc... were not placed on the early church. The Most important thing, however is if a Church preaches the True Saving Gospel. John 3:16.

Acts 16:30 “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. God sent His Son, to die in the place of sinners (taking our punishment) to give us the free gift of eternal life though Faith in His Son and His work on the Cross and Resurrection. After true regeneration has taken place through belief, the Christian WANTS to obey in thanks, Love and obedience for the savior, The Lover of their souls!

Certainly, there are many Roman Catholics who are truly regenerated and Love the Lord, but it is in spite of Roman churches teaching.
