Interesting point by 20yvet which got me thinking -- perhaps a temptation is not just a dangling of a carrot but when we feel the "urge" inside to grab that carrot.

If we don't feel that urge, is it a temptation? I guess not.

The grace to resist or not to even feel that urge comes from God of course.
