Terry Jones is neither a priest nor a Catholic, but the Islamic Republic's Ahlul Bayt News Agency cannot be expected to have mastered the intricacies of Christian sectarianism. But note in any case that we have never seen such outrage and indignation from Islamic ambassadors or any other Muslims regarding any of the jihad terror attacks and plots against non-Muslims in the U.S. or Europe. These so-called "hijackings" of their peaceful faith never seem to move them to this kind of outrage. Note also that the ambassadors are trying to use this incident to attempt yet again to restrict the West's freedom of speech regarding Islam, jihad and Islamic supremacism.
"Islamic countries ambassadors to Vatican condemn insult to Holy Quran," from the Ahlul Bayt News Agency, March 26 (thanks to Tom):
Islamic countries ambassadors to Vatican in a statement condemned insult to Holy Quran by an American priest.
In a joint statement, the ambassadors condemned insult to the holy book and called the action disgusting.

Or vice versa. To whom do you complain when a muslim blows up your family?
I’ll cut them no slack. How long have they been murdering Christians, burning Bibles and destroying churches. These are the people who kill converts to Christianity. They’ve got a whole lot of apologizing to do first.
I was referring to the fact that they seem confused about American congregationalism and its myriad offshoots.
Makes sense, I guess - when Islam stopped developing, the Catholic Church was still the only (Christian) game in town.
I’m sure it seems perfectly logical to them that SOMEONE is responsible for the Koran burning. And if the pope was running things correctly, the preacher would be hung.
After all, Islam’s “holy” authorities have no problem killing and maiming people that they consider insulting.
They think the pope is an ayatollah, and don’t understand Christian leadership at all.
Okay.
Now the crazies will kill Catholics to avenge the insult to their "holy" book.
Reasonable people can come to an agreement.
If Muslims stop killing Christians because they’re Christians (such as in Iraq), then Christians will stop burning the Muslim Big Book of Hypocracy.
Download the Koran on my iPad. Delete it while spitting in the general Eastern direction. Repeat.
I think that Koran burning would actually be an efficient way for the people of the United States to show our elected leaders that we’re fed up with this hate group. For instance, if the Islamic Center is permitted to proceed on Ground Zero we should threaten the public burning of Korans.
I thought it was funny. It puts things in perspective. All the theological divisions among Christians which are so important around here and which get us all bent out of shape, mean nothing to them.
Screaming at a Muslim....."no, kill him first.......he worships Mary and doesn't believe in sola scriptura" would just bring puzzled looks.
Makes ya think.........dunnit guv?
OK. We’ll only burn a koran when you guys murder an “infidel,” burn a bible, or destroy an “infidel” place of worship.
Fair is fair. Ya’ll got enough korans to handle that?
Jones, 58, is perhaps the unlikely face of what's become a small but international movement that preys on growing hostility and uneasiness in the lead up this year's 9/11 anniversary of the U.S. terrorist attacks.
A former hotel manager, Jones, who worked as a missionary in Europe for 30 years, took over as head of the Dove World Outreach Center, a fundamentalist Christian church in Gainesville, Fla., in 1996.
He is often seen on the church's 20-acre compound with a pistol strapped to his hip.
A fan of Mel Gibson's "Braveheart" -- a poster adorns his office walls at the church -- Jones launched an online video series called the "Braveheart Show," which he uses to preach anti-Islamic sermons to an audience larger than the 50 families who belong to the church.
Jones is the author of "Islam Is of the Devil." That phrase also adorns several billboards on his church's property. Jones said he first began using the phrase last year but since 2002 has marked 9/11 with sermons about Islam and the dangers he believes are inherent in the faith.
In August 2009, two children, a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old, who belong to Jones' church, were sent to school wearing T-shirts that read "Islam Is of the Devil." They were sent home for dress code violations.

Campion, I think you are correct in your summation...this is how I see it..the Vatican will say they don’t have any jurisdiction over Pastor Jones as he isn’t a Catholic priest..the Islamists won’t see it that way..to Islamists an infidel is an infidel is an infidel.. and this will be their perfect excuse to launch a terrorist attack on the Vatican itself....pray for protection for the Holy Father, the Vatican and all who are within it..Lord Jesus have mercy upon us.
