God had a wife, Asherah, whom the Book of Kings suggests was worshipped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel, according to an Oxford scholar.
In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshipped both Yahweh and Asherah. The theory has gained new prominence because of the research of Francesca Stavrakopoulou, who began her work at Oxford and is now a senior lecturer in the department of Theology and Religion at the University of Exeter.
Information presented in Stavrakopoulou's books, lectures and journal papers has become the basis of a three-part documentary series, now airing in Europe, where she discusses the Yahweh-Asherah connection.
"You might know him as Yahweh, Allah or God. But on this fact, Jews, Muslims and Christians, the people of the great Abrahamic religions, are agreed: There is only one of Him," writes Stavrakopoulou in a statement released to the British media. "He is a solitary figure, a single, universal creator, not one God among many ... or so we like to believe.

correct.
Let's not get mad at the world. Let's pray for those in the world who Jesus is calling to Himself. We need to rejoice, not be angry.
We need to switch the channel from the carnally confused fleshly mind of the world to the spiritually peaceful mind of Christ who soothes us with the Truth of the Word of God, the Bible.
Can you just imagine what His “Honey-Do List” must look like?
My 5 year old daughter came over and saw me scrolling through the thread. When she saw this pic she shouted out, “Ewwww, gee that’s gross!” She hasn’t seen the multi-breast doll yet.

These so called scholars don’t know God and obviously don’t know the bible or the Torah. So therefore, they don’t know what the heck they are talking about. It’s like coming to a conclusion with only half of the facts.
A “scholar” says that there is archaeological evidence that Israel worshiped Asherah alongside of Yahweh? Shazzaam! Who’da thunk it? So the archaeological evidence matches the complaints of the prophets that Israel was engaged in unfaithfulness ... that, uh, ... let’s see ... um. That would mean that ...
Never mind. Nothing to see here. Nothing to see. Keep moving. Keep moving.
God had a wife.......................... Hmmmmmm, makes me wonder how he got along with his inlaws.
I hope she came from a good family.
If you think that’s crap, you should watch the DVD on Jesus put out by PBS. No, wait, just forget about it.
Regarding the Quran, it is quite similar to the Book of Mormon in that it is the compiled ramblings of the founder of the religion who also, like Smith, borrowed and distorted what he knew of the real thing for his own purposes. Unlike the BOM it is in no chronologic order. The Suras - chapters - are ordered from shortest to longest, making it damnably (pun intended) hard to follow. Both were made to sound like the Bible in hopes of taking on the patina of a "Holy Book", but with the original Biblical narratives twisted out of all recognition.
I seem to recall a Peter Jennings ABC Special on Jesus... it was also pretty craptacular
