[Ecumenical] Lent through Eastertide - Divine Mercy Diary Exerpts: Children

Jesus's words are in italics. St. Faustina's words are in regular print.

"Your task is to write down everything that I make known to you about My mercy, for the benefit of those who by reading these things will be comforted in their souls and will have the courage to approach Me." (1693)

"Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My mercy." (300)

This series will be exceprts from the Diary of St. Faustina. Some are short. Some are longer. I am keeping the spelling from the website in the title.

Children

Once, after an adoration for our country, a pain pierced my soul, and I began to pray in this way: "Most merciful Jesus, I beseech You through the intercession of Your dearest Mother who nurtured You from childhood, bless my native land. I beg You, Jesus, look not on our sins, but on the tears of little children, on the hunger and cold they suffer. Jesus, for the sake of these innocent ones, grant me the grace that I am asking of You for my country. At that moment, I saw the Lord Jesus, His eyes filled with tears, and He said to me, You see, My daughter, what great compassion I have for them. Know that it is they who uphold the world. (286)

Once when I was having a long talk with Jesus about our students, encouraged by His kindness, I asked Him, "Do You have among our students any who are a comfort to Your Heart?" The Lord answered [that] He has, but their love is weak, and so I put them in your special care - pray for them. (288)

(St Faustina's confessor) ... a child does not worry about the past or the future, but makes use of the present moment.(333)

Just beautiful! I hope with the Lord’s grace I can help my daughter achieve a deep faith in & love for our Lord. Her name is Grace. Sunday is her 4th birthday. Could you whisper a little prayer for her?

Btw, she loves Faustina but refuses to call her “Saint”. Instead, she refers to her as “Sister”. Anyway, I hope St Faustina is pleased w/ my little one, and that she will pray for my Grace.

Our children are so much targeted by our ever increasingly pagan culture. Pray for their protection.
