At any rate the Religion Moderator has clarified a misunderstanding about the use of the Other Non-Christian topic in posts so I will be using that option as a means of tagging the anti-Christian nature of Mormonism in future posts. I think we should be using the Anti-Christian tag!
Where in the bible does it say Jesus was married, his mother having a 'sexual' encounter with god or that there will be we can become gods in the after life? If this isn't anti-Christian I don't know what is... its certainly satanic in nature.
I think we should be using the Anti-Christian tag!
I agree that tagging threads about Mormonism as anti-Christian is justifiable. When I as a devout Christian read words of Mormon founders and hierarchs such as:
John Taylor saying ..."We talk about Christianity, but it is a perfect pack of nonsense.... Myself and hundreds of the Elders around me have seen its pomp, parade, and glory; and what is it? It is a sounding brass and a tinkling symbol; it is as corrupt as hell; and the Devil could not invent a better engine to spread his work than the Christianity of the nineteenth century," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, 1858, p. 167). "Where shall we look for the true order or authority of God? It cannot be found in any nation of Christendom," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 10, 1863, p. 127).
The Book of Mormon saying ..."And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth" (1 Nephi 14:10). "And when the day cometh that the wrath of God is poured out upon the mother of harlots, which is the great and abominable church of all the earth, whose foundation is the devil, then, at that day, the work of the Father shall commence. . ." (1 Nephi. 14:17).
I see no other option than to conclude that Mormonism IS anti-Christian.
While I am aware of back peddling Mormon apologetics such as:
Authors Peterson and RicksWhat the Lord told Joseph Smith in the grove was that the churches and creeds of 1820 were defective and distorted by error. He did not say that they were entirely and utterly wrong (since they preserved much truth), nor did he say that each and every Christian churc would always be wrong... He did not say that Christianity, as such. is false. Peterson and Ricks, Offenders for a Words, p. 170-171
I see only typical dissembling by F.A.R.M.S. in transparent attempts to market Mormonism in the internet age.
Furthermore, Mormon doctrine is so antithetical to Christian doctrine that it is irreconcilably anti-Christian. The polytheism that they want to soft peddle as henotheism is just the tip of the iceberg.
