Nevertheless, the truth remains that Joseph Smith has deceived many away from biblical Christianity. There can be no “Christian unity” between Christians and those who follow the false teachings of Joseph Smith et al.
I’m not being divisive; I’m simply identifying existing, insurmountable division.
It may seem that relations between different groups of Christians are insurmountable. It may also seem that relations between Islam and Christianity is insurmountable. Jesus Christ doesn't consider anything insurmountable:
Mar 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible."
So we can have the attitude that we will always be separate and consign everyone else to a fate different than ours....or we can believe that Jesus Christ has a plan to bring together all those whom he calls. Whether he does this before his return or after matters little...our attitude should be the same.
