“Christians are called to spread the Gospel. That is the cure for all the bogeymen you listed, not mortal combat.”

I never considered a video game to be the cure for all the bogeymen I listed.

Why do you call them bogeymen? They are definitely real threats.

There is a bigger enemy.
“Defeating” the listed issues is nothing but playing whack-a-mole. Our advisory will respond with other challenges to the church. If Christians put as much effort into spreading the Gospel all the other issues would go away.

Wanna lower the abortion rate?
We can spend a lot of time getting the right politicians elected and protesting (which hasn’t helped one bit) or we can do what Jesus commanded, make disciples. When we do that, the abortion rate will bottom out.

Wanna take care of Muslims?
Preach the Gospel to them. Problem is, many Christians will lose their heads and we will see that as a sign of failure. We will get outraged. That, however is how Christianity spread from the beginning. The blood of martyrs brings converts.

We have the right message. We leave in in our back pocket and lean on our own understanding.
