Featured Term (selected at random):

BOLLANDISTS

The Belgian Jesuit scholars who compile the Acta Sanctorum. They are named after John van Bolland, the work's first editor (1596-1665). The idea of a critical publication of the lives of the saints was conceived by Heribert Rosweyde (1569-1629), who died before any of the research was published.

All items in this dictionary are from Fr. John Hardon's Modern Catholic Dictionary, © Eternal Life. Used with permission.

TOPICS: Apologetics; Catholic; History; Theology
KEYWORDS: catholic; catholiclist; saints
Hopefully the Jesuit scholars are on their way back in a good and virtuous manner.

Nt yet, I believe it is being discussed. Give us a chance to bombard them with our opinions.

The RSV, which is a much better translation than the NAB, uses “spoil.”
