Abortion.
What a hard topic to talk about. It's a topic that makes people uneasy just after hearing the word. Questions like "Where do I stand on the subject?" - "What will others say about me if I disagree?" come to mind when faced with this issue. And the endless debate of whether it is right or wrong always comes up.
Instead of getting into a debate about abortion, I ask you to poll your conscience. This time look at the subject from a different angle. According to the article that I referred. Philadelphia prosecutors said this morning they are considering seeking the death penalty against three others charged in the operation of Kermit Gosnell's West Philadelphia abortion clinic
The angle I wish you to consider is that of the response to an action like abortion. Lets for the sake of argument, call it murder. My questions to you are: How would you respond if someone you cared about was murdered? How would you respond if it was someone you barely knew? How would you respond if the person that was murdered was someone you had never met?
By respond I mean, if you had complete power to do as you will with the person who committed the murder, what would you do to them?
In truth there really should be only one response. It should be that of a loving heart. Like the heart of Christ as he instructs us to be.
But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. -- Luke 6:27-28
The proper response for a Christian, in my view, is to genuinely love the murderer while the needle does its job.
By respond I mean, if you had complete power to do as you will with the person who committed the murder, what would you do to them?
According to the covenant that God made with all mankind through Noah, the murderer must be killed. I would honor God in that way.
You have quite a peculiar screen name.
And an even more peculiar posting history.
Did I mention you have a peculiar screen name?
why is my name choice odd. Ron Paul was born in Pittsburgh and I am a fan of Ron Paul. Nothing mysterious.
This is an evangelical position. I am catholic
What does that mean?
