That's correct: Maccabees isn't part of the Protestant Canon. The concept of
Sola Scriptura becomes much easier to maintain when you airbrush out the bits you don't agree with.
Hell is real, and there's a lot of salutary stuff here. After all: fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
But let readers remember that God is the God of Mercy. Indeed He IS Mercy. He wants none of us to go to Hell and He has done everything possible to redeem us. Now is the time to turn to Him.

I agree with all you wrote in the post regarding Hell. But the Apocrypha don’t belong.
Purgatory doesn’t apply/exist. sorry.
