Had a shrink tell me it was because of a lack of oxygen to the brain...remember watching a PBS show on NDE's a while back - some shrink was leading the charge at "debunking" the idea with the same story - lack of oxygen to the brain - but he did acknowledge that the experience as life ebbed - the bright light, peaceful feeling, reunions with lost loved ones - was quite pleasant, and ended up by saying something like "it really is nice for nature to arrange things like that as death comes" - I'm still laughing - if you're going to admit "nature" can act purposefully to comfort man, why not go all the way and give the credit to "God".....

I'm waiting for the liberals and atheists to tell me that NDEs came about because of evolution, and that only the people who experience things after death, pass their genes on to the next generation later on. LOL
