some shrink was leading the charge at "debunking" the idea with the same story - lack of oxygen to the brain - but he did acknowledge that the experience as life ebbed - the bright light, peaceful feeling, reunions with lost loved ones - was quite pleasant, and ended up by saying something like "it really is nice for nature to arrange things like that as death comes" -

I'm waiting for the liberals and atheists to tell me that NDEs came about because of evolution, and that only the people who experience things after death, pass their genes on to the next generation later on. LOL ...exactly - what would be the mechanism - those who have comfortable, even pleasant deaths would be more likely to seek death or at least not try to avoid it at some level of consciousness, and soon be eliminated from the gene pool - sure doesn't sound like survival of the fittest to me......
