A symbol of the Church

Rich in symbolic significance. Reminiscent of the Ark Noah built, used by God to carry a chosen remnant safe through the watery (this time) judgment ordeal brought upon the world.

I also thought about all the shipwrecks that St. Paul endured, yet survived.

The Catholic Church also has endured some shipwrecks, but seems to always survive stronger and invigorated.
