Did anyone catch Glenn Beck's show yesterday about the 12th Imam?
I just wanted to know what you all think about Glenn's comparison of the bible's description of the coming of the anti christ and the muslim's focus on increasing chaos to bring back the 12th Imam?
Joel Richardson,[1] a pen name, is a prophecy writer who rejects the long-held Roman/European end-time antichrist theory made popular by the Scofield Reference Bible and later dispensational writers for what he conceives to be an Islamic/Middle Eastern end-time theory and a Muslim antichrist. Hes written Antichrist: Islams Awaited Messiah on the subject. Ill leave it to Richardson and his fellow premillennialists to sort out their differences. I believe theyre both wrong. People have been trying to identify a particular antichrist for centuries. Christopher Hills book on the subject just deals with antichrist in seventeenth-century England. (There were many more through the centuries and in other countries.) The candidates included Protestants, the Pope, radical sects, bishops, the Crown, the Establishment generally, the universities, and the Turk, an early designation for Muslims:Richard Montagu proposed the Turk rather than the Pope as Antichrist. This thesis may have been given fresh currency by a Balliol [College] man, Christopher Angelos, a Greek who had suffered at the hands of the Turks and had it revealed to him in a vision that Mahomet was Antichrist.[2]Notes:
[1] I met and spoke with Joel at the Take America Back Conference that was held in Miami last week (October 1518, 2010). I mentioned to him that I had been working on a response to his article Preterism: The Marxists Theological Tool. Todays article is only a portion of that longer article.

This is ironic since Mormonism, being a restorationist movement, is predicated on the belief that authentic Christianity was practically non-existent until the arrival of Jos. Smith and Co in the mid 19th century. How could Christians found our country If there were no real Christians?
Because of the destruction of the wicked at the Saviors Second Coming, only righteous people will live on the earth at the beginning of the Millennium. They will be those who have lived virtuous and honest lives. These people will inherit either the terrestrial or celestial kingdom.

Well this lets out most of the mormon prophets down to about 1950...
They all committed wholesale adultery...
And for the rest need I mention the dishonest dealings with bank scams, the railroad construction, the “mormon brigade”, the cheap flimsy pushcarts, the phony “tithing”, the phony dead dunking, the phony “history” in the book of mormon, the evil treatment of women and black folks, etc ??
Williard Mitt Romney wont be there ...He supported the murder of millions of unborn babies, was dishonest and his support and filthy financial gains of pornography and same-sex marriage was anything but virtouous...
Even his hair dye job and Botox face makes him dishonest
The mormom Marriott family and their blantant selling of pornography for filthy lucre is not virtuous or honest
etc
Yeppers when ya have ta be “virtuous and honest” ta go ta the mormon afterlife, ya betta make sure yer squeeking clean..
and have yer own hair and skin...
The most striking point that Beck made was the assertion by the crazy Ayatollah Khomeini that “12ers” were too dangerous to be allowed to have any power and that Khomeini had some of the “12ers” killed or imprisoned.
Joel Richardson was the “orthodox” Christian author on his show. Beck didn’t push Mormon doctrine, he merely compared Christian eschatology versus Islamic eschatlogy.
And no thank you, LDS is a cult.
I think my post #58 with the posting of LDS belief verifies your statement.
Interesting show that paralleled his rumors of war movie. It was a good show. But sometimes, websites like this one have been ahead of him and exposed it before hand. However, his take is unique.
I think he is right that there are three groups wanting global domination - United Nations and friends pushing a new world order, Communists/Socialists/Statists wanting to destroy capitalism and finally Islam and the implementation of the Caliphate and Sharia Law.
So there is a lot of nefarious things going on.
