Benjamin Johnson, a close friend of Joseph Smith, described Fanny as, varry nice and comly, [to whom] everyone Seemed partial for the ameability of her character. She is generally considered the first plural wife of Joseph Smith. Although undocumented, the marriage of Fanny and Joseph most likely took place in Kirtland, Ohio sometime in 1833. She would have been sixteen years old. At the time, Fanny was living in the Smith home, perhaps helping Emma with house work and the children.
Ann Eliza Webb recalls, Mrs. Smith had an adopted daughter, a very pretty, pleasing young girl, about seventeen years old. She was extremely fond of her; no mother could be more devoted, and their affection for each other was a constant object of remark, so absorbing and genuine did it seem.
Joseph kept his marriage to Fanny out of the view of the public, and his wife Emma.

Mom; PRESBYTERIANism is not true.
I testify to the truth of what YOU said!
I ate an entire container of those things around Easter, and, sure enough, I got strangely warmed in my innerds!
Well, for one thing JS never married Italian women. He would not been able to survive the experience.
Joseph Smith would have never have survived the woman in my family...... NEVER....
All the same to me.
No health in your naval, I’m thinking?
Just lint...
Mormonism seems to be Islam ism light. It is very male dominated with the belief in plural wives and a history of marrying the extremely young. The men, if good Mormons, end up in their own universe, on a planet of their own, populated by many wives. They believe that the more faithful they were the more wives they get in their kingdom where they are the god. It is the same old lie that the serpent told Eve which is that they shall become as gods.
As in the Bible:
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
We all know that the Muslims believe that if they forfeit their lives for Allah they will receive 70 virgins of their own as payment. The male ego is extremely exalted in these religions.
They both have at their base a prophet who claims to have special revelation from an angle about true religion that completely contradicts the Gospel of the Bible even while they both have a deviant belief in Jesus as at least a prophet. The Mormons deny the trinity with a twist. A twist that the Mormons hold is that they believe in three gods rather than the trinity. They believe that "God" was once a man who worked his way up into becoming "God" as well as they, the men of the church, can. The Muslims believe that there is only one "God" and not three in one which is The Trinity.
The Bible warn all that Satan comes as an angel of light. It would have served these false prophets well if they had taken the Biblical admonition seriously.
As in the Bible:
2Cr 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Both of these religions believe in salvation by a system of works which is totally contrary to what the Bible says concerning salvation by grace (unmerited favor from The LORD bought by Christ' substitutionary death for us on the cross) through faith.
There are many others similarities between the two religions as well as areas where they differ. Thank God the Mormons are a peaceful religion and do not believe in conversion at the edge of a sword.
Though the Mormons deny that they worship Joseph Smith in a way that is even higher than their supposed worship of Christ their writings say otherwise. Per "The Mormon Curtains" at http://www.mormoncurtain.com/topic_josephsmithworship.html
"If we get our salvation, we shall have to pass by him [Joseph Smith]; if we enter our glory, it will be through the authority he has received. We cannot get around him [Joseph Smith]" Apostle George Q. Cannon, as quoted in 1988 Melchizedek Priesthood Study Guide, p. 142
"Whosoever... does not confess that God has sent Joseph Smith, and revealed the everlasting Gospel to and through him, is of Antichrist...," Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 8, p. 176
[There is] "no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith. If Joseph Smith was verily a prophet, and if he told the truth...no man can reject that testimony without incurring the most dreadful consequences, for he cannot enter the kingdom of God" Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p.190
"No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith...every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are... [Joseph Smith] reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven. Many will exclaim"Oh, that is very disagreeable! It is preposterous! We cannot bear the thought!" But it is true." Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p.289-91
"He that confesseth not that Jesus has come in the flesh and sent Joseph Smith with the fullness of the Gospel to this generation, is not of God, but is anti-christ" Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 9, p.312
"It is because the Lord called Joseph Smith that salvation is again available to mortal men.... If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation," Bruce McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 396, 670
"I tell you, Joseph holds the keys, and none of us can get into the celestial kingdom without passing by him. We have not got rid of him, but he stands there as the sentinel, holding the keys of the kingdom of God; and there are many of them beside him. I tell you, if we get past those who have mingled with us, and know us best, and have a right to know us best, probably we can pass all other sentinels as far as it is necessary, or as far as we may desire. But I tell you, the pinch will be with those that have mingled with us, stood next to us, weighed our spirits, tried us, and proven us: there will be a pinch, in my view, to get past them. The others, perhaps, will say, If brother Joseph is satisfied with you, you may pass. If it is all right with him, it is all right with me. Then if Joseph shall say to a man, or if brother Brigham say to a man, I forgive you your sins, "Whosoever sins ye remit they are remitted unto them;" if you who have suffered and felt the weight of transgressionif you have generosity enough to forgive the sinner, I will forgive him: you cannot have more generosity than I have. I have given you power to forgive sins, and when the Lord gives a gift, he does not take it back again." Orson Hyde, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p.154-155
"You call us fools; but the day will be, gentlemen and ladies, whether you belong to this Church or not, when you will prize brother Joseph Smith as the Prophet of the Living God, and look upon him as a God, and also upon Brigham Young, our Governor Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 5, p. 88
The truth is in the Bible.
In John 3:16 Jesus says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 14:6 tells us that He is the ONLY way, "Jesus said to Him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast."
