Molotov Mitchell hits another one out of the ballpark!

You paint with too broad a brush and your grossly generalized conclusions border on the offensive. The believers I know who happen to hold to a dispensational world view are not in any manner, shape or form as you have described them. I am deeply concerned as a Christian brother that you would in any way intimate that fellow believers do not believe Jesus is Lord here and now simply because they disagree with you personally on an issue of eschatology. This is certainly not an issue that separates the saved from the condemned, yet you treat it like somehow believers who hold a position that is contrary to yours are lesser committed to the cause of the Kingdom. Some of the most dedicated mission-minded people I know are dispensational. My brother-in-law and his family live in a third world country as missionaries to make a difference for the Kingdom...they happen to hold a dispensational world view and are working their tails off to reach the lost daily. I know dozens of people who weekly dedicate hours of their lives to helping the poor and needy .they also hold dispensational views. You say these people denigrate the Lords Prayer? Really?
Some people are worth communicating with...others you will quickly learn not to throw pearls before swine....Nasty minded.
You SEVERLY hurt your position by using such “progressive” language to try to make your point. Congratulation, Alinsky would be proud...
That is rough language. He must have been hanging around fishermen or some other rough crowd and doesn’t understand the need to switch gears when he posts.
Filled with mockery , condemnation and error. UGG
If you have a doctrinal view that is most often sold by dwelling on the sizzle rather than the implications of that doctrine, what do you expect? Of course an awful lot of those listening will draw incorrect conclusions as to what impact that doctrine has on the Faith. More often than not, those that get past the sizzle are more serious about their faith than those who are shopping around for whatever impacts the rest of their lives the least.
Yeah...who would want to hang out around rough fishermen?
Rough carpenters maybe?
I’m pretty sure the “carpenter” that you are referring to would not be using language like that...especially about some of His followers. Nor would he approve of it.
James Madison
“We hold it for a fundamental and undeniable truth that religion, or the duty which we owe our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence. The religion, then, of every man must be left to the conviction and conscience of every man: and that it is the right of every man to exercise it as these may dictate.”
“The civil government ... functions with complete success ... by the total separation of the Church from the State.
Just in case of confusion...I’m not the OP. I’m arguing against this KINGDOM NOW/DOMINIONISM theology. I’m not looking for a “theocracy”. That is the OP’s view.
Or are you making a point that I’m not getting?
I stand corrected.
Apologies.
This provides support for the “rapture”. The idea being that Satan can not have his way and complete the end times if Christians are present as the “salt “ of the earth and preserving the earth from Satan's final corruption of the earth. It isn't a matter of a front row seat in heaven, it is a matter of our not being present. That being said Christians all over the world today are being martyred at probably a greater rate than any time in history. I fully expect persecution of Christians in America, Look at the slandering of Palin and even to some extent Obama if he is a Christian as he professes.
Has he read Revelation?
He’s way way off base. It isn’t that Christ CAN’T defeat Satan ... He WON’T defeat Satan ruling the earth in the last days.
And yes, it certainly IS ALL ABOUT HEAVEN !
Duh.
Piece of garbage.
“I take issue with the premise that we can create a Heaven on Earth without the direct intervention of Jesus.”
Wow, go back and watch the video again. He never asserts that we can create Heaven on earth “without Jesus”. First off, the Holy Spirit is in believers so in a sense God is here on earth. The speakers only assertion is that we are commanded to go out and be salt and light and change the world around us.
Because we are commanded to.
Too many Christians sit around and wait for the rapture and don’t get involved in politics or charity because “Jesus is coming back soon anyway”.
“What is the point of girding on all that Gospel Armor, hauling around a Shield, and belting on the Sword, if were just going to bug out so we can sit down in front of a heavenly omnivision set to watch the fight, instead of STANDING AGAINST the fiery darts of Satan?”
Bears repeating!
“1st Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.”
Where in that verse is the support? What part of that verse gives any indication of the TIME that this event will take place? Or any of the verses before or after? Chapter 5 gives a timeline but most pre-tribers ignore that one.
The point I’ve always stated is if you see an event in Scripture without a timeline you can’t MAKE ASSUMPTIONS as to when it will happen unless you can find this event described somewhere else in scripture. When we look in scripture we do find it again and almost exactly the same description, Matthew 24 (and in Luke and Mark) with Jesus giving the description and here we DO have a timeline.
Whose spirit is speaking through you? That's not the Holy Spirit, is it?
You should ask the mods to remove your comment.
I’m not the OP. I’m not exactly sure when the Rapture will take place, but I believe it will happen. The OP’s view and video are those that mock the Rapture & those who believe in it. And yes, Christians will be increasingly persecuted. Obama will be Satan’s tool in this though, he will not suffer persecution as a “Christian” IMHO.
“Filled with mockery , condemnation and error. UGG”
Not to mention a real waste of resources. Hopefully this young man will someday seek God to find His vision for his life, and not continue down this path. Tearing down (especially by mockery!) the Body of Christ can never bring glory to God.
No worries. I guess that’s the risk of being the first responder to a post.
