Ive found out that whenever you question a Mormon on their doctrines or beliefs and ask for clarification or, whenever you refute their doctrine rather than a coherent reply they immediately accuse you of being anti-Mormon or they start getting personal.Personal attacks happen when they run out of answers. Mormon's have been hammered into thinking a certain way since childhood so change is difficult. Also, there is a price for change. If they were to leave the Mormon church or start to question Mormon doctrine, they risk being ostracize by family, friends and of course, their church.

I found the same with an Iranian Muslim roommate during the middle seventies. He was ready to accept Christ as his savior, but was more concerned that he would be an outcast from his family, friends, and government if he converted (Islam is not just a religion, it is their entire existence). Fortunately since then many have come to Christ in Iran (see book Welcome to the Revolution).
