I’ve never heard of him & I wasn’t aware Bishop Adamec was leaving. I hope this turns out to be a good thing for the diocese, considering the Bishop is a lib.

One other thing I forgot to mention - Msgr. Bartchak's background is in Canon Law, which lends itself to priests that are a bit more on the conservative side.

I can't say that Msgr. Bartchak is particularly traditional (I don't know that for certain one way or the other) but I certainly never got the impression that he is a liberal.

Count me among the optimistic.
