Lucifer is the despotic tyrant and oppressor of all of Adam’s fallen race. He fully understands the behavior of his unregenerate human slaves (Eph. 2:1-3; Heb. 2:14-15) and he is the “supreme hunter” of souls (Isa. 14:16-17; Ezek. 28:19; Luke 4:5-6; 2 Cor. 4:34; 1 Peter 5:8). Satan fully comprehends the fallen nature of humanity and our sensual desires, which are governed and dominated by our five physical senses. He fully knows how to manipulate, entice, bait, snare and catch his prey for his twisted godless will (Eph. 6:11-12). He has been an “active observer” of the transgressions of humanity for ~ 6000 years (see Gal. 5:19-21), and he fully knows that once immoral lusts and sexual vices have taken hold of and have snared his prey, he is able to bring to naught a particular people or nation for his own evil advantage (Gen. 6:2, Rom. 1:25-32, 1 Cor. 10:6-8). . In the last 70 years through the new mediums of today, Lucifer has reduced - not just the world in which we live in but - America to a savage murdering decadent and licentious state of secularism, non - contrite and hard towards the God of truth and His righteousness.

This tactic also corrupted the “heart soil” of the people of Israel for receiving their Messiah at His first coming (Matt. 12:39, 16:4). Even now this same tactic is being applied globally - as is evident in today’s current global licentious climate - to bring about the reception of Lucifer’s ultimate minion and tool, The Man of Lawlessness or the Anti-Christ (2 Thess. 2:3-12; Rev. 13). When this godless secularist and lawless (non-absolutist) individual is revealed, the whole world – now given over to total wickedness - will be ready to receive and worship the Lie of all Lies, the Abomination of Desolation (Matt. 24:11-12, 15; 2 Thess. 2:3-4; Rev.13:12). ... With his entire being Lucifer hates and despises Adam’s race, which was created in the image of Almighty God (Gen. 1:27). His wicked desire is to violently oppress, exploit and use them (Eph. 2:1-3; Heb 2:14-15) until his doom is sealed (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10). It is because of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is “The Seed of the Woman” (Gen. 3:15; Matt. 1:20-23; Luke 1:30-35; John 1:14, Heb. 2:14-15, 10:4-12) that his doom is sure and his judgment final. That might be the reason for his intense hatred of the female population. America’s current base licentious behavior, which dominates our U.S. culture and society today is accepted and received as normal and natural. While countless numbers of STD’s including the AIDS virus ravishing and dominating mass areas of our American society today, yet the statistics and facts of the destructive consequences are explained away and ignored. A leftist secular dominating media refuses to bring to light the true realities of this decadent ticking time bomb and neglect to suggest the moral remedies which could vitally help our out of control epidemic (John 3:19-21).
Let’s look at just a few stats of the consequences of the Sexual revolution of the 60’s. We have today in our American society an ever-increasing number of teen pregnancies. We have the blood of 50 million innocent aborted and murdered babies on our hands. We have the accepted normality of the fatherless family and the violent product of this broken order. These children, which survived their mother’s womb, are caught in a never ending circle of oppression, mental abuse, drug addiction and violence. We have countless numbers of America’s which are ensnared, enslaved and dominated by a tyrannical addiction to pornography and suffer the psychological effects of it. Our licentious godless culture is run a muck today with a non blushing culture of sex addicts and pedophiles burning with uncontrollable passions seeking to destroy lives at will for a moment’s gratification. We have the unashamed promotion of sex on TV to individuals of all ages in every facet of airtime.

Today’s Hollywood and movie industry are seeking to push the boundaries of immorality, the usage of graphic sex and seeking to promote their godless secular “morals”. These are literally “Hell bent” on promoting the acceptance of all these base life styles as normal and acceptable (Rom. 1:25-32). These decadent reprobates and tools of Lucifer promote and distribute the false illusion that there are NEVER any consequences for the unrestrained sexual lifestyle. These are deceiving millions of today’s ignorant youth and are breeding and accelerating the destructive consequences of this unrestrained life style (Eph. 2:1-2, 6:12).
We’re Number 1!! . One statistic that absolutely floored me was that America dominates the world today in Internet pornography use. As our once moral society is burning frantically out of control today with the unbridled passions of godless men, what are we as a nation to do? Once America is removed off the world stage what restraining influence will there be in this oppressive world?
Today, in every facet of our American culture and society there is nothing untainted by the horrific consequences from the violations of the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God (Isaiah 24:5-6).
In these last days - as this world is spiraling franticly out of control at exponential levels never achieved before, there is a sound reality and great hope to all who call upon the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Deliverer (John 1:12; Acts 16:28-31).
As we as a nation are being reduced to an oppressed decadent culture and social order may those who so desire look unto the Lord for stability and confidence.

It is a grim and evil day and you who hold to optimistic conservatism are deceived if you refuse the truth that is so obvious. I hope it can be turned around but only the Lord Jesus Christ will be able to do the miracle that America needs. Not one politician will.
As an interesting (I hope) contrast... Judaism believes that the satan (literally, “one who causes to turn [astray]”) is created by G-d and totally subservient and yet is tasked with a mission to make man stray. He in fact wants man to overcome for in the end he too wants G-d’s will to be fulfilled. An analogy is given that he passes the buck to someone who understands less clearly about G-d and His will. And in turn that (angel, being, etc) passes it to another (4-levels removed...ask your local kabbalist—but not Madonna’s) until the one holding the stick is on such a low level that he doesn’t understand at all that the original task came from G-d...and this emissary really does want to cause man to stray just for the sake of it. Anyway...it’s how we resolve the existence of a satan yet maintain that there is nothing (not even ‘evil’) that isn’t completely of, by, and subservient to G-d.

There is another interesting point about Sodom and Gemorah... our (Jewish) commentaries say that their worst attribute was a disdain for kindness and charity. They were exacting to a fault... one would say to himself, “I earned it. That beggar didn’t. Such is life. Why should I give to him?” And this was the reason they were destroyed (the homosexual story with Lot’s visitors is adjunct.)
So perhaps this is telling of our times— the government is removing incentive towards charity (to become the sole arbiter or who deserves what...) which is an affront to how we are commanded to strive to conduct ourselves and treat our fellow.

That's not the main reason. The book of Jude (as well as the text of Genesis 19) makes if very clear Sodom was destroyed for unnatural sexual immorality.
