Galatians 1: 7-9, the words of Paul to Christians tempted to consider new “revelations”—
“Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! “
Trying to push a perverted “gospel” on what is supposed to be primarily a news and political site is invasive and offensive.
The LDS threads are fashioned to be in-your-face argumentative. That causes discord and detracts from the good that FR does.
If you and your mormon friends would be respectful and follow Jim Robinson’s direction, you could put this issue to rest. It is, after all, his site, and he has the right to run it as he sees fit.
Your invented theology is offensive to many of us, but we can still be associates and workers together in conservative causes if you would just leave your book of mormon in the drawer with your holy underwear when you’re on FR.
