Out of curiosity which religion is not offensive to Christ? since he was a Jew a devout Jew, and no other religions existed when he was on earth, but Judaism and Paganism it seems to me Jesus was not about relgion, but about Man being reconciled to GOD through his blood sacrafice and resurrection.....
What about sacred Temple ordinances? Are they necessary? How about certain handshakes that get you through the veil and into an exalted state. What do you think Jesus thought of requiring 10% of all your money in order to earn exaltation - think He would have approved?
Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Zorastrianism, and Taoism all pre-date Christ, just to name a few.
I do not practice any religion. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus is God Incarnate, who lived on Earth in a mortal body, who was crucified to take the sins of the world, and made available to me specifically. I do gather with like-minded folk in a place we call church to join in worship of Him.
Mormonism teaches that the only path through the Pearly Gates is routed past Joe Smith's desk! It also teaches that by tithing and keeping your wife subjugated, that a man can become god of his own planet. It leaves women to clean up the mess and spew out lots of baby Mormons... and allows the husband to leave her behind if he doesn't want to take her to his new life. It teaches of secret temple ceremonies and special privileges that MUST BE PURCHASED (that tithe is written down every week and must be reconciled often) or you don't get through the door!
They also give special powers to underwear and don't take them off (according to them!).
Well the problem is they add all this spacey new age gobbly goop with it..men become Gods...God marries...they all rule their own planet..all which isn’t from the Bible...rather they created a book they call their bible...at least they read and believe it...where they say our bible has many errors that ol’ Smith boy corrected. When really the guy was an occultist and practiced such...that’s where the magic hat comes in.
So the Christian community, pretty much worldwide does not accept the Mormon Religion as Christian...they know this and have a huge campaign to try and get recognized as Christian.
Meanwhile they belly up to the Muslims to incorporate shared projects on the International scene and here in the states...the oil heads attract them as there’s plenty of money to be had from them...rather like Obamas using NASA to “help”.
So that’s what’s some of the problems are...and the rest could go on for miles.
