I had a different experience. After finding out about Mormonism I decided I wanted to join. It was the best decision I ever made.
They will not answer because ANY LOGICAL answer spears stright through the heart of their cult.
Dozens of websites like this have sprung up in the last few years. They claim more and more as time goes on the centrality of the Bible to their "doctrine" yet THEY WILL NOT USE THE JOSEPH SMITH "CORRECTLY TRANSLATED" VERSION. They even try to keep it's existence a secret from members and potential converts.

How can any HONEST church claim the "Book of Mormon" to be the most accurate book on earth because it was written by the man who "communed with God", yet his "translation" of the bible to be a fraud, and not use it ?

This is the same McConkie who harped often upon the notion that Jesus did the same thing to become exalted that his father before did, and taught that jesus's father gained the attributes of godhood by being an atonement for the sins of another race on another world. This purposed duplicity allows the apologists to cite whichever side of the coin fits the intended deception.

I haven’t noticed any Jewish Caucus threads. Not sure whether there are a lot of Jewish posters here, I would imagine they would feel a little unwelcome given the decidedly christian slant of the site, although religion is off in it’s own forum area which up until now seemed to keep this religious bickering out of the front page.
Thank you for all your posts, and as I have said several times here, is I don’t follow the Mormon faith and do not promote any false teachings of the LORD Jesus Christ...I am not seeking religion, and yes I do believe that Jesus Christ came to expose the hypocrites in religion, that all people wether Jew or Gentile is in need of grace and salvation.
My point was just one that we can learn as Jesus taught to love our neighbors as he has loved us, and I don’t believe that compromises our faith in being steadfast to the Gospel of Jesus Christ...
I was not condoning Mormon Doctrine but respecting Mormon people who seem to be great families and parents....
I think the Osmond Family represents that.

ROFLMAO, PD. The BoA is a proven fraud. I even took Egyptian Hieroglyphics courses at UCLA in order to try to prove it ‘true’ and there is NO WAY to reconcile what Smith wrote. The LDS had a leg to stand on when they thought the scrolls were burned in the Chicago fire, but now that they have been found, it is easy to prove Smith a fraud.
BTW, God doesn’t have an erection, which is one of the biggest errors make in Smiths changes of the fascimilies (where he said Min was God).

See what I mean about Mormon spin people ? I aske three times a simple question abotu which bible they use, the Joseph Smith Retranslation deemed a fraud by Brigham Young, or the King James Version.
He just typed 30 some-odd words rather than giving a one word straight answer.

The fact is that the mormons have rejected the "chosen prophet who communed with God"'s "inspired" full "retranslation" of the bible.
