The Catholic Church

I was privileged to meet Msgr. Faris last week when he drove down from Utica to welcome the bishop on his pastoral visit to our parish. A small group of us gathered in the Parish House, preparing food for the bishop and other visitors. Bishop Gregory Mansour convened a quick meeting with the 2 visiting and 1 resident priest and then invited us to join them for their repast. At the time, I had no idea that Msgr. Faris was also a chorbishop. We had a wonderful conversation about the various churches that make up the Catholic Church. This article appeared in the Maronite Voice, the official newspaper of the Maronite Eparchies in the US. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

NYer, great article. Thank you very much for sharing. Msgr. Faris has a way with words that is quite pleasant. If you should run across any more articles from him, could you please post them?

"To be Catholic was to be Latin Catholic"? Hardly.
