Knock me over with a feather. Protestants believe in good works? I believe it was Augustine that said it best about good works:
As Augustine knew, we are saved TO DO good works. We are not saved BY our good works.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
The confession of the thief was evidence of his faith. His confession was his good work which was the result of that faith. He was created in Christ Jesus for good works. After all, we're still talking about it 2,000 years later, aren't we?
