Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Book of Proverbs
Chapter 3
Guidance for the Young
1. My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
2. For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you.
3. Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
4. And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.
5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6. In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
7. Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8. It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
9. Honor the LORD with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
10. So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
11. My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,
Nor detest His correction;
12. For whom the LORD loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
13. Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding;
14. For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
15. She is more precious than rubies,
And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
16. Length of days is in her right hand,
In her left hand riches and honor.
17. Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace.
18. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who retain her.
19. The LORD by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding He established the heavens;
20. By His knowledge the depths were broken up,
And clouds drop down the dew.
21. My son, let them not depart from your eyes
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
22. So they will be life to your soul
And grace to your neck.
23. Then you will walk safely in your way,
And your foot will not stumble.
24. When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
25. Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
26. For the LORD will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught.
27. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
28. Do not say to your neighbor,
Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,
When you have it with you.
29. Do not devise evil against your neighbor,
For he dwells by you for safetys sake.
30. Do not strive with a man without cause,
If he has done you no harm.
31. Do not envy the oppressor,
And choose none of his ways;
32. For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD,
But His secret counsel is with the upright.
33. The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked,
But He blesses the home of the just.
34. Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.
35. The wise shall inherit glory,
But shame shall be the legacy of fools.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father, Who Art in Heaven,
Holy and Sanctified is Your Glorious Name Forever!
We Come Into Your Holy Presence To Worship You,
And You Alone.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God of The Universe!
Ancient of Days,
Rock of Ages,
LORD of Hosts,
All Knowing, All Seeing, and All Wise,
You Know the End from the Beginning,
And the Beginning from the End.
Because You ARE The Beginning and The End,
The Aleph~Tav
The Alpha and the Omega!
You Are The Author of Life,
Our Precious Creator,
You formed us in the secret places of our mother's womb,
You Designed Our DNA in All Its Beauty and Complexity and Uniqueness,
And have a perfect plan for each and every one of us.
Teach us to Trust You With All Our Hearts,
And Not To lean Unto Our Own Understanding.
For Right Now, We Only See Things In Part,
And We Don't Know Your Entire Plan,
Although We Gain SO MUCH Insight From Your Holy Word,
Enough That We Can Trust You In All Things.
And In All Our Ways Seek Your Will.
This We Do Know.
In Your Word You made a Covenant With Abraham.
You Renewed With With Isaac, and Jacob,
And the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
David Sang of Your Promise,
The Prophets Spoke of It,
And Those Who Accept Your Word At Face Value Believe It.
Therefore, In Accordance With Your Will,
and Your Word,
and Your Promise,
We Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem.
We Trust in You With All Our Hearts,
Even Though Our Own "Understanding" Fights against it.
Our Hope is in You, Father,
Not in the media,
not in celebrity,
not in politics,
not in the rulers of this world,
and not in riches.
We Thank you for this place where we can gather together for this purpose,
and I pray for all who come here in Peace,
that they may be Blessed.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Third Chapter of Proverbs has a Very Famous Verse, (5 through7), that looks excellent on Mugs and T-Shirts.
However, It is VERY DIFFICULT to Follow! After all, we are intelligent people; why SHOULDN'T we "Lean on Our Own Understanding?"
Yet, Here it is, Over and Over. I Found thousands of Graphics with this Scripture emblazoned upon it.
How EASY to Quote!
How difficult to follow.
It is not easy to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem Each and Every Day. It Defies Logic in the Face of World Events. There are even those on FR who think we are Nuts to do this.
Yet We trust in The LORD with All Our Heart,
And Lean Not Upon Our Own Understanding.
In All Our Ways Acknowledge HIM.
And he Shall Direct Our Path.
Come and Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, According to The Word and Promise of the LORD.

The battle is still raging and the most powerful weapon will be used until ordered to cease.
Psalm 94
God the Avenger of the Righteous
1 O Lord, you God of vengeance,
you God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 Rise up, O judge of the earth;
give to the proud what they deserve!
3 O Lord, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked exult?
4 They pour out their arrogant words;
all the evildoers boast.
5 They crush your people, O Lord,
and afflict your heritage.
6 They kill the widow and the stranger,
they murder the orphan,
7 and they say, The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob does not perceive.
8 Understand, O dullest of the people;
fools, when will you be wise?
9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear?
He who formed the eye, does he not see?
10 He who disciplines the nations,
he who teaches knowledge to humankind,
does he not chastise?
11 The Lord knows our thoughts,*
that they are but an empty breath.
12 Happy are those whom you discipline, O Lord,
and whom you teach out of your law,
13 giving them respite from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
15 for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who rises up for me against the wicked?
Who stands up for me against evildoers?
17 If the Lord had not been my help,
my soul would soon have lived in the land of silence.
18 When I thought, My foot is slipping,
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
19 When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.
20 Can wicked rulers be allied with you,
those who contrive mischief by statute?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent to death.
22 But the Lord has become my stronghold,
and my God the rock of my refuge.
23 He will repay them for their iniquity
and wipe them out for their wickedness;
the Lord our God will wipe them out.
Heavenly Father may you continue to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation, may you smash every crooked deed they try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to the nations as you did this time in history:

A Word from Lord concerning our leaders:
Jeremiah 19
The Broken Earthenware Jug
19Thus said the Lord: Go and buy a potters earthenware jug. Take with you* some of the elders of the people and some of the senior priests, 2and go out to the valley of the son of Hinnom at the entry of the Potsherd Gate, and proclaim there the words that I tell you. 3You shall say: Hear the word of the Lord, O kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I am going to bring such disaster upon this place that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle. 4Because the people have forsaken me, and have profaned this place by making offerings in it to other gods whom neither they nor their ancestors nor the kings of Judah have known, and because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent, 5and gone on building the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire as burnt-offerings to Baal, which I did not command or decree, nor did it enter my mind; 6therefore the days are surely coming, says the Lord, when this place shall no more be called Topheth, or the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of Slaughter. 7And in this place I will make void the plans of Judah and Jerusalem, and will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those who seek their life. I will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the air and to the wild animals of the earth. 8And I will make this city a horror, a thing to be hissed at; everyone who passes by it will be horrified and will hiss because of all its disasters. 9And I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and all shall eat the flesh of their neighbours in the siege, and in the distress with which their enemies and those who seek their life afflict them.
10 Then you shall break the jug in the sight of those who go with you, 11and shall say to them: Thus says the Lord of hosts: So will I break this people and this city, as one breaks a potters vessel, so that it can never be mended. In Topheth they shall bury until there is no more room to bury. 12Thus will I do to this place, says the Lord, and to its inhabitants, making this city like Topheth. 13And the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be defiled like the place of Tophethall the houses upon whose roofs offerings have been made to the whole host of heaven, and libations have been poured out to other gods.
14 When Jeremiah came from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, he stood in the court of the Lords house and said to all the people: 15Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: I am now bringing upon this city and upon all its towns all the disaster that I have pronounced against it, because they have stiffened their necks, refusing to hear my words.

Psalm 19
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight,
LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
