Austria.[kreuz.net] Christendom must become "atheistic and religionless". This was said by the old Liberal Jesuit, Father Roger Charles Lenaers (85), at a lecture in Vienna according to a report of the Linz commerce website, 'kath.net'. The old man is active in the parish of Vorderhornbach in the Diocese of Innsbruck. Religion consists in the thin flow of experience for the Jesuit that the human intellect can't grasp everything and is hidden behind an experiential "something": "In this since I am a deeply religious atheist."
How is this even possible?
I’m just the opposite. I believe in God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, but not religion.
I’m a “non-atheist” and I don’t condemn or disparage you. You are correct because the claims of Christ require faith. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Keep searching, friend.
He is also apathetic about it, which he doesn’t know and he doesn’t care.
?. What's your point? He'd no longer alive and would be shocked at this.
Agnosticism does not meet condemnation from atheists because it does not directly challenge their beliefs. But many atheists have elevated their non belief to a religion to the point that they are intolerant and ridicule believers. I suggest you visit England to test your statement about the tolerance of atheists.
and I was informed recently by another freeper when that name came up that one of them is dead...it really is no great loss to the planet..
Seems if they truly believed that, they would go one with their lives and ignore those that disagree.
Ah, but you forget the arrogance factor. It takes a huge amount of hubris to believe you KNOW there is no God. And that kind of hubris cannot ignore the poor souls who have not yet reach the level of nihilistic enlightenment the atheist wallows in.
I should add, the atheist, having made itself god, needs feckless fools to worship at its feet.
quite so
