In a major recession, some brainiacs decided they want to build a $150 million Noah's Ark Amusement Park in Kentucky. The effort is backed by Answers in Genesis, the group that sunk millions into a "creation" museum that highlights their distorted view of science with such things as men living with dinosaurs.
Many Christians are asking, however, aren't there better things to spend this money on?
"Hungry people, missionaries, new churches, charities, all should be higher on the list. This is embarassing," said one churchgoer.
Another added, "How can we afford to waste this money while the government is busy destroying our economy?"
"It's time to reign in these people and put the money to something God would be proud of."
Uh, WHICH Christians are embarrassed? Where’s the link to the story? Or is this just your opinion?
Brings to mind the old saying, “Just because you have money does not mean that you have any sense.”
Nut case article!
The goon culture never gives up.
.
Its a popular place.
Fixed the title for ya.
> “such things as men living with dinosaurs.”
What idiots, our historical literature is loaded with discussions of encounters between men and other animals and dinosaurs, but for some reason they didn’t understand that the correct word was “dinosaur,” so they called the dragons and serpents.
.
How can it be a popular place if it is not in existence?
Did it ever occur to you that these museums and parks will create an opportunity to preach Christ?
.
the museum is existing, and the park is soon to come.
The AiG folks aren't holding a gun to people's heads to make them donate their money to this endeavor. Unlike the IRS and our tax dollars ... as we see our tax money used for all sorts of 'worthy causes' - such as propping about abortion mills, and 'evangelizing' the cause of abortion throughout the planet.
Come and be embarrassed (you can at least act embarrased)
So Mr. Truth Maker... I’d figure with all the things going on in the world a true journalist such as yourself could find a real story instead trumping up one to tear down an organization that has done nothing but good and promoted Christ in an exemplary fashion. Your lack of sources and links by the way is stunning.
At the risk of sounding abusive I will simply post a quote.
A wise man once said, “Idiot”. And he was right.
Its beginning to look like we have a hit-and-run postor here.
“Hit and run” has been on since 2003. The biggest problem I see is that there is no link, no sources... no real content. It’s a badly written opinion piece by a loser with an agenda.
‘bout sums it up.
Where’s the article, slick? I searched Noah’s Ark Amusement Park and came up with this: http://www.noahsarkwaterpark.com/
(Is your ticket good for forty days and forty nights?)
Not sure what you are rambling about, though I bet it made sense in your head. However, if your statement “an organization that has done nothing but good and promoted Christ in an exemplary fashion” refers to AIG, the group that disparages any Christian that disagrees with them, then you best look up “exemplary.”
P.S. The article wasn’t about them. Since you were confused, let me explain it: It was about Christians wasting money on stupid stuff when they should be helping the world around them.
Better things to spend this money on?
"But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, Why wasnt this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a years wages. He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it. " - from John 12
