Jesus is THE ROCK.

Thanks for making my point about flawed interpretations. Since Jesus was talking to (then-named) Simon and establishing him as Pope Peter ("Petros" and variants is the word for "rock" in almost all Latin and ME languages). There is Biblical support for the line of succession from Peter to the modern day Pope.

You can't even get it right with a simple English translation -- how in the world do you think you or anyone else can condemn the RCC as not adhering to the Bible?

READ the whole Bible - it tells exactly who the ROCK is.

And Jesus was replying to the revelation that Peter received from God on ‘Who Jesus is’. It was on ‘Who HE is’, Jesus the Christ, that His church was being built on. Jesus, the Anointed One. The Rock of our Salvation.

Presently no screen name is correct. Jesus is the rock. He has been the rock from before the foundation of the world.

RELIGION FORUM RESEARCH PROJECT: GOD IS THE ROCK

There is Biblical support for the line of succession from Peter to the modern day Pope.

Where would that be?

Where?

Not only is there no papacy in the NT church, there is not priesthood, no sacrifices..bloody or unbloody

The Scripture outlines what the NT church should look like, and the God given outline looks nothing like the Roman church
