You will not find him mentioned in Holy Scripture.

Some of the more aware Inmans will correct me if I'm wrong but I've read that Joseph did indeed add his name near the end of the book of Genesis, in his "edit" of the Bible.

That is true he wrote himself into the JST Bible, almost by name.

Mormons, however, do not use the JST Bible because Brigham Young said it was "spurious", or a fraud.

The RLDS stayed true to the words of Joseph Smith, and use the JST in full.

In fact it is a true statement that the current LDS Church is the "breakaway" church, and the RLDS is the original.

I would encourage the LDS to bring forth a SINGLE witnessed and documented miracle that has occurred during the nearly 180 years of it's existence.....You know like the kind that prophets of old performed. THAT IS THE BURDEN OF CLAIMING THE SAME POWER.

They always bring up the "wicked and adulterous generation that wants a sign" scripture, but you know we've been though nearly 5 generations now since the 1830's, and besides, even the Pharaoh of Egypt saw Moses part the Red Sea.

Genuine (non-official, of course) MORMON spin follows:

4. Some items may be a harmonization of doctrinal concepts that were revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith independently of his translation of the Bible, but by means of which he was able to discover that a biblical passage was inaccurate.

Oh yeah, it's true. Joseph Smith had the audacity to REWRITE THE BIBLE to include himself BY NAME!

Here is a link to the final chapter of Genesis in the Christian Bible. It ends at Chapter 50, verse 26.

Now take a look at The Joseph Smith version of Genesis

Please note that this is from the official LDS website. Be sure to read the heading, the part that says "Moses, Aaron, and Joseph Smith were all named in this prophecy of Joseph in Egypt"
