Then again, that doesn't fit the “White men are evil; Indians are pure and holy and natural” theme that elementary kids “need to be taught” by today's socialists.

Yes. There is one letter from 1763 from a British officer, that people like to point to. Not at all conclusive, not a government policy, not a Christian policy. It even pre-dates germ theory, so it's hard to see what was intended.
