Is this because this is Utah or because the perp is a mormon that crimes are called “fail(ings)” ???

In TN we dont say a rapist “failed”

In TN we dont say a burglar “failed”

In fact it would be that the perp successed to be a rapist or a burglar...

Ah, "catch of the day" TN, re: discerning Mormon culture.

Idaho pastor Mark Cares, who runs an outreach to Mormons, says in his book that Lds already downplay sin. They see it as more in terms like a "bad habit."
