My Q is: Why didn't this article id this bishop as this man's ex-bishop? I mean what?
The Mormon church doesn't ex-communicate felons who are exploiting 14 yo girls in their midst? They want to keep such men on as their ward wards?
The convictions, this article says, was in April. It's now 7 months or almost 7 months. Not enough time to ex-communicate? The update article from yesterday's Provo Daily Herald (see link @ post #1) says: "He also had a burglary charge a week after he turned 18 before the two sexual abuse cases.")
So surely between a burglary charge and two sex assault felonies, something in there might prompt an ex-communication somewhere???
Who has knowledge to tell us if there is a powerful family connection able to pull strings with judge and local bishop alike...something tied to what Elsie wrote about in post #6?
