Certificate of Certain Authority

I detect an "uncertain trumpet," though UB being played.

I mean, here New Danites, Inc. promises "certain authority" certification, but who authorized and certified New Danites?

Even if we could trace it somehow to Monson, who authorized and certified Monson?

Even if we could trace it to the Mormon god who was once a man, which god authorized him? Who gave him a "certificate of certain authority?"

Which mormon god created the original "certificate of certain authority"???

Or...can it be...?

(Lightning flashes and Thunder sounds)...
(Illumination floods our sudden burning bosoms)...

Why, of course! Why didn't it dawn on us before?
The "certificate of certain authority" has always been!
It preceded any god Mormonism can ponder!
It is the only original "I AM"!
It came from goo to you at the Earth Zoo!

[Now imagine the end of Planet of the Apes movie...only instead of them chanting "Glory be to the bomb," you hear a chant of, "Glory be to the certificate, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be without end. Amen."]

Now keep in mind dear sisters and brothers, that you also have the authority to issue this legitimate certificate any time you feel the burning in the bosom and notice a requirement to lay your hands on an upstart “idiot”, especially the ones that have perfect copy and paste skills with no other abilities other than repeat the same tired old links.

We only give this authority with very careful thought.

Why, halleluia, Brother Binger! Praise to the man! [Uh, ya know, Joe]

***Which one of the Danites let you copy their certificate?***

If you accept the mission does the certificate self destruct in five seconds?

When you hear Louie on the horn, you will know its’ working and will suddenly become invisible.

The first training session will be at the Buckskin in Fredonia, AZ. You must remember to appear to be “of the world” as you get the sacred training. Otherwise you will be found out right off the bat. We cannot have that.

Just don’t let any of these sacred members drink too much as they too will be found out.

OK now...

Sandy said: The person is apparently an unbalanced criminal with an axe to grind.

So Nana (naturally) saqid: Yeah a good follower of Joey Smith ...“Follow the “prophet” and ya cant go wrong...”

So you, MB come back with: If a Christian commits a crime, does that mean somehow Christ is flawed

So as a mormon are you equating the human Joey Smith with God, the LORD Jesus Christ of the Christian Bible ???

I’d be careful...

God zapped Joey Smith fatally for doing just that..

10s of thousands of missionaries go out each year and live by these rules. I did. None of them end up snapping and trying to burn down buildings.

Maybe not...

But many have escaped from mormonism when they woke up to the lies of Joey Smith et al and snapped ..

So I’m not sure how one person, who may not have ever even served a mission, is evidence of rules somehow causing people to go nuts.

True; but listening to THIS guy for very long would CERTAINLY put ME over the edge!

1842 polygamy scandal and relationship with Sarah Pratt

In 1886, Orson's wife Sarah Pratt claimed in an interview that, while in Nauvoo, Illinois, Joseph Smith, Jr. was attracted to her and intended to make her "one of his spiritual wives" while Orson was in England on missionary service.[8] To Smith's proposal Sarah replied, "Am I called upon to break the marriage covenant … to my lawful husband! I never will. I care not for the blessings of Jacob, and I believe in NO SUCH revelations, neither will I consent under any circumstances. I have one good husband, and that is enough for me."[9] Pratt issued an ultimatum to Smith: "Joseph, if you ever attempt any thing of the kind with me again, I will tell Mr. Pratt on his return home. Depend upon it, I will certainly do it," [10] a warning that elicited the threat from Smith, "Sister Pratt, I hope you will not expose me; if I am to suffer, all suffer; so do not expose me. … If you should tell, I will ruin your reputation, remember that." After her husband Orson returned from England, Pratt later claimed an incident between Pratt and Smith at her home occurred, and "Sarah ordered the Prophet out of the house, and the Prophet used obscene language to her [declaring that he had found Bennett in bed with her]," according to Sarah Pratt's neighbor, Mary Ettie V. Smith.[10] Sarah told her husband about the incident; Orson took Sarah's side and confronted Smith, who denied Sarah's allegation and responded that she was Bennett's lover.[7] The resulting estrangement between Smith and Orson Pratt, who stood by Sarah in preference to the denials of Joseph, who warned his disciple that "if [Orson] did believe his wife and follow her suggestions he would go to hell,[11].

However, in the local and Mormon press, Sarah Pratt was accused of having had an adulterous relationship, not with Smith, but with Bennett, and numerous affidavits were printed in local and pro-Mormon Nauvoo publications,[12][13] including the leading councils of the church and from members such as Jacob B. Backenstos, a relative of the sheriff of Hancock County. Van Wagoner has dismissed the adultery charges against Sarah Pratt as "highly improbable" and that J. B. Backenstos's affidavit stating that Bennett continued the adulterous relationship with Sarah Pratt after Orson returned from England could "be dismissed as slander."[7]

Orson Pratt became estranged from the church and Smith. Wilford Woodruff stated that "Dr. John Cook Bennett was the ruin of Orson Pratt".[14] Van Wagoner and Walker note that, on August 20, 1842, "after four days of fruitless efforts at reconciliation, the Twelve excommunicated Pratt for 'insubordination' and Sarah for 'adultery'".[15]

Orson soon returned to the church and denounced Bennett. Van Wagoner cites a letter written by Orson's brother Parley P. Pratt,

Bro. Orson Pratt is in the church and always has been & has the confidence of Joseph Smith and all good men who know him....As to Bennett or his book [The History of the Saints, 1842] I consider it a little stooping to mention it. It is beneath contempt & would disgrace the society of hell and the Devil....His object was vengeance on those who exposed his iniquity.[7]

Orson wrote a postscript to his brother's letter: "J.C. Bennett has published lies concerning myself & family & the people with which I am connected".[7]

SOMEone seems to have a bkit of a problem understanding GOD.

God is a spirit. A spirit is as much matter as oxygen or hydrogen.
The Godhead consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is a material being.
God the Father and God the Son cannot be everywhere present; indeed they cannot be even in two places at the same instant: but God the Holy Spirit is omnipresent - it extends through all space, with all other matter.

Indeed.

BTW, all, Joseph Smith was lying up through the day he died in a shoot-out in Nauvoo, June 27, 1844...a shoot-out where despite having two loaded weapons he fired from within the Carthage jail, he was shot and killed.

Smith wrote a note to "Lawyer Browning" on June 27, 1844. In his P.S. of that note he wrote, "There is no cause of action, for we have not been guilty of any crime..."

So apparently, Smith, and any of his followers who now support the actions he took earlier that month as Mayor of Nauvoo, IL, believes that:

Mayors have the supposed right to order the destruction of free speech in their community (i.e. the destruction of the Nauvoo Expositor).

I mean certainly, worst things have been said about Joseph Smith on FReeper threads than anything William Law wrote about Joseph Smith in the Nauvoo Expositor.

So does that mean if the Mayor of Fresno ordered the destruction of FR, Mormons would support that -- and by parallel argument -- and argue like Mayor Joseph Smith did that this would not constitute "being guilty of any crime..."???

Where's the moral consistency of contemporary Mormons?
