In Christ Alone lyrics
Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;
In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save
?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

Me: Sorry, you are going to have to explain that to me. I have NO idea what you are trying to say here. Really. You: You guys are making my point for me over and over and over...
Okay, I'll wing it then. You started with the following post after I expressed my disgust at those who desire another Inquisition:
You guys are the ones wallowing in Inquisitional glee. Me, I look at it this way - energy prices are very high nowadays, so, sometimes two problems will solve each other...
I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt and a chance to explain your statement in hopes you weren't really saying what it sounded like you were saying. My charity was thrown back into my face. So, I guess you then agree that another Inquisition where people are murdered is a good idea because "energy prices" are very high and this world could use some population control. One more chance, is this what you are implying?

Izzat so? Dr. E. says that people are acquitted of their sins before they die and independent of any repentence.
The book of Life contains all men; it is men who cause God to erase them from it; Revelation 3 says that very convincingly.

Catholics are used to just saying stuff and having it accepted ...Kinnda like the pope is infallible in matters of faith because he (the church) say so ... so we have to believe him
We are told there is lots of 'proof" without them giving any ...it is a yada yada yada discussion

Your statements have no credibility if you don’t or aren’t willing to back them up.
We are not obligated to believe a word you say simply because you say it. Your word on an issue is not good enough to bank on and your sending others off to research something you declare to be so to disprove it is a waste of time.
If you don’t or won’t back up what you say, you have nothing worth listening to. You might was well save the bandwidth and not bother posting it.

How long did the torture and murder continue before the feds put a stop to it? Did you not see the graphic of state sponsored religion that I posted?

Of course it's not enough. IIRC there were 19 innocents executed. That is a matter of history, is sad and sickening, but is one single community. You have condemned all the Colonies. Document it and while you're at it, document the witches executed as a result of the various Inquisitions. We are speaking of the enlightened American colonies, not Europe. If we wish to expand the arena to Europe, then please express that.

Show us where there were Baptists or Methodists or Anabaptists or any religious torture and murder in the protestant colonies and I will present you with the work of Rome in England and Scotland under dear Mary, and the inquisition in Europe.... people in glass houses need to keep their hands in their pockets Yeah, yeah. The argument is not that American religious figures were pure, it's just that they were more pure than the hated Catholics. I will ask my friend Mr. Rogers if he has a pertinent web site which pertains to Baptist persecution in the America of the Reformation.

SO where did you get YOUR education? You already said that it was not a Catholic school. What other options are there? A public school that you have already dissed? Or were you homeschooled? You have no idea, do you? As it appears, it is a far sight above what you have experienced.
You didn't go to a public school, did you?
Not as you know it.

It is not what I am implying, although Protestants as a rule are Darwining themselves off the face of the earth, and good riddance. The history books will look on the pustule of Protestantism with a signifcant lack of approbation.

Sure.

As usual, Mark, you misquote me.
Again.
All God's elect will come to repentance. The Holy Spirit makes sure of that.
"In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth" - 2 Timothy 2:25

As usual, Mark, you misquote me. Negative. As usual, I quote you accurately.

Once again, your lack of Scriptural understanding leads you to post Scripture which does not support what you claim. I do not blame you; that is the history of the Reformation. The WCF is full of proofs that do not support most of its claims, by the way. So you are not breaking new grounds here.

I've never known anyone who can hold a grudge like an aggrieved Catholic. Of course Rome wants to encourage sectarianism. They invented it during the counter Reformation. Rome figures the more denominations there are among Protestants, the weaker that Protestant opposition will be.
