In Christ Alone lyrics
Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;
In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save
?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live
There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Why don’t you provide any Scripture to support your contention?
Ad hominy attacks against corny kisses and gritty grasps will not be permitted since them worshipers of the moon god are not pagans according to “Smooches” and co.
Revelation 20:11-15 [11] And I saw a great white throne, and one sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away, and there was no place found for them. [12] And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and hell gave up their dead that were in them; and they were judged every one according to their works. [14] And hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the pool of fire.
Revelation 21:8[8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
“Your mind has obviously been poisoned with Protestant threats of damnation. The souls cast into hell simply no longer exist, no fire, no brimstone, no nothing. The greatest punishment is an eternity without Christ.”
That’s not what the Catholic church teaches in its Catechism.
It does not teach soul annihilation.

1022 Each man receives his eternal retribution in his immortal soul at the very moment of his death, in a particular judgment that refers his life to Christ: either entrance into the blessedness of heaven-through a purification594 or immediately,595 — or immediate and everlasting damnation.596
1035 The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, “eternal fire.”617 The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs.
1038 The resurrection of all the dead, “of both the just and the unjust,”621 will precede the Last Judgment. This will be “the hour when all who are in the tombs will hear [the Son of man’s] voice and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.”622 Then Christ will come “in his glory, and all the angels with him .... Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left.... And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”623
1051 Every man receives his eternal recompense in his immortal soul from the moment of his death in a particular judgment by Christ, the judge of the living and the dead.
Every man his own pope, choosing what of the Catechism of the Catholic church to believe or ignore.

None of that is incompatible whith what I posted. I just don't believe that "fire and brimstone" nonsense and do not believe that tere is any greater punishment than being deprived of an eternity in the presence of God.
The man is not in a position where he can afford to make that kind of *mistake*.
Would you label obama’s bowing to the muzzies a *mistake* as well?
If JPII was not aware of the significance and ramifications of that act (kissing the Koran), then he didn’t deserve to be in the position he held.
I didn't initially because I believed that you would reject it outright without even considering it. I accept Scripture at face value and do not bend it to conform to some Reformist political tool of oppression. I believe in Eternal Life as a reward for salvation, but not in an immortal soul outside of Salvation. That still might be the case, but for those with an open mind:
1 John 3:14-15 "We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death. Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him."
1 John 5:11-12 "And this is the testimony. God has given us eternal life, and this Life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life"
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Genesis 3:19 "for dust you are and to dust you will return".
Ezekiel 18:4 "...the soul that sins, it shall die"
You said ..”The answer from the WCF is both direct and damning as Arian heresy.”
My post addressed that accusation

This was from the snippet you posted that you said was heresy.. I simply asked which parts of WHAT YOU POSTED AND CALLED HERETICAL , you believed was heretical .
Name calling is easy, backing it up apparently a little harder
Exd 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
There are as many gods as there are unsaved men and women ..every one of them have a false god
Every-time one has a god of their own making, it is a false god..
The Muslim god is not triune, jesus is a prophet second to Mohammed, the muslim god has no plan of salvation they do not have a savior ... he is not the same God as the God of Christians
allah is the moon God, not the God of Abraham
The problem is catholics take the word of Jesus out of context, not looking at the circumstances, the language, the audience , or even the verses of the same discourse.. and thus end up with defective doctrine
Or was it that Matthias, whose name is heard on one occassion and never again, was not the choice of the Lord and was mistakenly chosen by the Apostles?
ACTS 1:26 And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthi'as; and he was enrolled with the eleven apostles.
And there is no indication Matthias was chosen by Jesus but by 11 men who overstepped their authority.
I believe that "Pope"J.Paul II is in hell today unless he repented on his death bed..
During his life he denied the existence of the flames of hell ..today they nip at his feet.
He hid the gospel of Christ from the people and turned them to a goddess for comfort . The world loved him because the darkness HATES the light..darkness loves darkness and so the world wept at his death.
"Pope John Paul II is in hell. He is burning there with all those who have denied the faith and taught a false Gospel. He is there with all those who attempted to raise their own heads above Christ. He is there under the wrath of the Lamb. He knows now that he was never the Vicar of Christ on earth. He knows now that Mary is a sinner like the rest of us. He knows now that purgatory is a fantasy. He knows now that the Bible is the Word of God alone. He knows now that Tradition means nothing in light of the Word of God. He knows now that only the elect are called saints. He knows now that indulgences do not save anyone. He knows now that venerating saints is sin. He knows now that men cannot save themselves. He knows now that all the pomp and gesture was building up wrath against him. He knows now that he was so very wrong about everything he thought he was vicar for on behalf of Christ. He knows now that all his past followers are still being deceived by the same lies he propagated before. He knows now there is nothing he can do about any of it. He knows it all now, and wishes he knew it before he died. Pope John Paul II is not in heaven. The Bible says that such men are in hell, and deserve to be there. Pope John Paul knows this too all too well."

Sorry, I'm just not buying your nonsense. For a Christian there is only one True God. All others are merely false abstract constructs of men not different and no more real than Darth Vader or the Boogie Man that lurks under a four year olds bed.
Conversely, Mohammad and the Koran are not able to change or alter the God of Abraham. No being on heaven or earth other than God Himself has that power. They are, for whatever purpose, only able to imperfectly describe and imperfectly worship Him, not unlike Calvinists.
