To: Salvation

Mine is Joan of Arc. I had always loved her, even as a child. At the liberal parish where we came into the Catholic church, they discouraged us (strongly) from taking Saints’ names, but I did anyway.

We joined the Church in a liberal parish, too, but they still encouraged saints’ names for Confirmation. I recall that we had a couple of Agathas, a Mary Magdalene, Edward, Augustine, Veronica ...
