Except for the last part halal slaughter is nearly identical to Kosher slaughter.

Wasn't there a huge uproar somewhere recently claiming that Kosher slaughter is inhumane?

Dhakat is to slaughter an animal by cutting the trachea, the esophagus, and the jugular vein, letting the blood drain out while saying “Bismillah allahu akbar”—in the name of Allah the greatest.

I'd like to perform this ritual on Ahmadinejad.

Soooo....people want us to be NICE to the animal BEFORE we SLAUGHTER and KILL it for food?

I remember when I was a kid. Watching the chicken run around after you chop its head off was part of the fun.

An halal slaughter is barbaric. The animal must be fully conscience while it is having its throat cut.

So what?

I don’t care how you slaughter an animal for the table... and eating a halal/kosher killed animal does make me muzzie or jewish.

No surprise really. If we allow muslims to infest our society, we’re going to have to put up with their cultural crap. Our treacherous politicians will insist.

I am no fan of the Muzzies, but this column was stupid.

Halal is the same as kosher.

Are all the Christians here going to protest a method of killing animals that is sanctioned in the Bible, where the kosher laws come from?

People like to say that the Muzzies unconditionally hate the Jews, but eating kosher is perfectly acceptable to Muslims.

By the way, before I get attacked for being a closet liberal, I support Pam Geller’s mission to prevent a 911 victory mosque at Ground Zero.

G, why should this make any difference to me at all? Seriously? Doesn’t this sort of nonsense just allow some dhimmi wannabes to write off any anti-Mohammedanism as the work of nut cases?

They would rather mock the millions of Christians and Jews than “offend” the savages. It’s OK for them to start feeding the masses halal meat - they are stupid - they won’t know or care.

Just somebody else rolling out the red carpet for the machete men, the dirty beard crowd, and the headchoppers

If you think this is not big deal and are a Christian you may want to look up what God says about eating meat that has been offered to idols.

Hallal and Kosher are not the same.

Hallal meat is part of Sharia law , supporting it is supporting sharia .

It is done only after retiual cleansing of equipment by a moslem facing mecca and it is offered to allah.

One of the first things muslims do when taking over an area is to take control of the food and how it is processed ... every American should be screaming out about this .

Me personally I will not purchased name brand meats from companies know to employ lots of muslims as I don’t think we should be importing these workers to begin with.
I don’t think they have a right to push their dietary/sharia laws onto our country.

The Bible is quite clear to Christians that they should not knowingly eat meats that have been offered up to idols to keep others from stumbling thinking it is ok to do.

If you don’t believe in the Bible but you believe in American freedom you should be aware that knowingly buying hallah meat is helping to push sharia law onto this country.

Act 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

1Co 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
1Co 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1Co 8:7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
1Co 8:8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
1Co 8:9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
1Co 8:10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
1Co 8:11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
1Co 8:12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
1Co 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

1Co 10:25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
1Co 10:26 For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
1Co 10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
1Co 10:28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:
1Co 10:29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience?
1Co 10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
1Co 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1Co 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Rev 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Rev 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Rev 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Rev 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Rev 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Rev 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
Rev 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Not essentially different than kosher processing.

This seems foolish; the meat is healthier, so why gripe?
