Virgin Mary appears to Caqueta soldiers
Colombia News ^

The military garrison in San Vicente del Caguan, in the southern department of Caqueta, has been blessed by a Marian apparition, according to soldiers in the area.

In an interview with Caracol TV, one soldier said, "The truth is that she was a marvelous surprise. I realized it was her, without a doubt, because no painter exists here that could make an image as marvelous as her."

The "divine manifestation" was seen in the window pane of a building housing a battalion of soldiers.

The vision has created a fervor among Catholics who have come to see the Virgin and hold religious ceremonies.

The commander of the battalion, Wilson Camargo, considered the appearance a positive sign, "This is a blessing of God and the Virgin, and a blessing of all the work my men do day after day, serving the community."

The colonel has ordered that the window never be touched.

It’s more like Pro-Word vs. Anti-Word.

Some just love the victim status - a liberal trait.

If they don’t see images of dead Popes, does that mean they weren’t holy?

I would think that an image of a dead pope on fire might point in that direction.....
Is this Pope John Paul II waving from beyond the grave? Vatican TV director says yes

There have been many apparitions of Jesus—I am talking about reliable incidents such as the visions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and St. Teresa of Avila. Joan of Arc saw St. Margaret and the Archangel Michael, among others.

Please provide evidence that these apparitions are in fact Jesus, Mary, apostles, etc. INSTEAD of satanic deceptions. I know, I know ... you accept them by faith. I have heard the arguments before. At least you can be honest and say you accept them by faith; no matter where they lead you.

oh for crying out loud! What extremes will they go to..this is beyond insanity. Makes you think that without the idols, images and apparations they would have zip zero faith.

“Blessed is he who believes without seeing”.

Thanks for the Columbia story. I liked it very much and found it encouraging to my faith during hard times. What is tossed for mocking is turned into a gift.

Turn to the one who can truly save you, not a reported window smudge in a far away land.

Just to be clear, a stain on a window pane is not a "Marian apparition". If it bleeds, or cries, or talks to somebody, the Church might initiate an investigation. Until then, it's a stain on a window pane. I prefer to treat them with Windex, followed by a vinegar water chaser to get a nice shine.

However, this piece of toast with Obama's picture on it -- that is Obama, isn't it? -- that thing is a demonic manifestation. Get rid of it immediately.

As a matter of fact, private revelations are NOT accepted on Faith—i.e., they are NOT part of the public revelation which the Church safeguards, and they are NOT the object of divine Faith. They stand or fall on the credibility of the witnesses, the theological soundness of what is “revealed,” and any accompanying verifiable miracles.

Saint Teresa of Avila was in the loo once, praying. “Jesus” appeared, and chided her for praying in the loo. She realized immediately that the real Jesus wouldn’t mock her for praying, so she said: “What goes up is for Him; what goes down is for you!” and “Jesus” disappeared. This was a case of a bad spirit making a theological blunder.
