When St. Paul was talking about a "light on the hill" this wasn't what he had in mind. Rather, it's the kind of edifice that says something very definitive in an ambiguous way about what the Priests of the Archdiocese have long said about the importance of "sexual orientation". Instead, they tell us that there are other issues that are more pressing, like their heavily subsidized "social justice" ministries.

Definitive in an ambiguous way?
That blog jumped the shark a long time ago.
Fair criticism, it’s a point of ideological manipulation to employ ambiguity in the service of a liberal agenda. Cardinal Suenens, point of fact, identified this as a tactic toward achieving his radical agenda for the Church against the resistance of conservatives.
So, this parish advances a liberal ideology, and frequently refuses to teach against the sins of sodomy and liberalism.
That would be clearer to someone more familiar with the revolutionary and homosexual inclination of a significant number of the clergy in this Archdiocese which is well documented, even here on this blog.
I have a friend who, every now and again, I will refer to as Miss Diva.

Its not that she always demands to be the center of attention. Rather, it is that every now and again she enjoys the occasional moment in the spotlight. I think this is true for all of us. Every now and again I think all of us like to be noticed and appreciated for something we have done or said. I think we get this trait from God.
God doesnt demand always to be the center of attention. In fact, most often God is content simply to be part of the background fabric of our lives. In my own life I have discovered, though, that there are times when God does want to be the center of my attention. At these times, God isnt demanding or unreasonable. Rather, God simply, and in a not so subtle manner, makes it clear that I need to pay attention and at least for a few moments make God the center of my attention. These times occur when I see a beautiful sunset, or when someone does something unexpectedly kind, or at moments of great joy or sadness, or at times of prayer. In these and countless other ways God makes it clear to me that God wants to be the center of my attention.
I dont know why God doesnt demand to be the center of my attention more often. I am grateful, though, for those times when God does. For they help keep me humble and ever mindful that in reality something bigger than myself deserves and ought to be at the center of my attention and the center of my life.
