[Speaking now to the demon which holds Mormon souls closed: 'I may stumble in the work, but I will not give up on these you have blinded, no matter how insulting and childish your words through them become. Their souls are precious to the Lord and my instruction from the Bible to contend for their souls is clear and profound. So, 'live with it' or continue in eternal death with it. In the name of Jesus Christ, I oppose you openly.]

And the REST of the Inmen said:

AMEN!

To the Jew of Jesus's day, any who were not of the Jews were 'the other', sometimes referred to as 'the Greeks' but inclusive of all men who were not a Jew, in all time.

To the MORMON of OUR day, any who are not of the SLC branch of MORMONism are 'the other', sometimes referred to as 'GENTILES' but inclusive of all men who were not a MORMON, in all time.

And just WHERE do we find this BIBLICAL test?

2 Corinthians 11:14?

Restornu, if this isn't interesting to you or your list, please tell me and I'll drop you from pinging.

If a MORMON don't post it; then she probably don't give much of a care.

Beloved, if our heart may not condemn us, we have boldness toward God, 22 and whatever we may ask, we receive from Him, because His commands we keep, and the things pleasing before Him we do,

23 and this is His command, that we may believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and may love one another, even as He did give command to us,

The command of God is to believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ and to love one another. That's the context. Everything has to fit into that.

This is what I learned today: it's not about me it's about god and I am going to become a god: the priesthood means nothing the priesthood means everything: jesus saves by grace but you also have to work and work and work to keep it; I am your brother I am not your brother; jesus loves everyone but not you - place marker.

Trip went okay. Weather forecast was spot on. Cloudy, intermittent showers, windy and cold. Some snow just above our elevation. That’s what you get for trying to hike/camp/fish in the mtns. in Oct.

Still, the fishing wasn’t too terrible. We discovered the lakes have a lot of pressure on them since they’re within easy hiking distance (~ 3 miles) of the parking lot.

We had a few hits, a few lost (boys fishing for the 1st time) and were able to land about 8. I caught two, one in each lake.

Still, new Scouts hiking, camping and fishing for the first time had a reasonably good time. Some valuable lessons learned about proper clothing for weather.

I didn’t take my camera because of the weather, but others did and when I get copies of the pics, will try to get them posted.

All in all, a memorable weekend for most.

I would agree with you regarding the law. It is a law of Love.

There are many examples showing how works of love are so important, e.g.

Matthew 25:

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

James 1:27: Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world

James 2:

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Some valuable lessons learned about proper clothing for weather.

It's seems that is a lesson that needs to be learned at least once the hard way. Provided everyone has the necessary supplies, I've come to enjoy the reasonably bad weather trips. As long as everyone is warm and dry, I enjoy lounging around camp shooting the breeze. Sometimes it can be just as refreshing as whatever activity was planned.

Did you go high enough into the mountains to go after furbearing trout?

Why is it, 1010RD, I've corrected you numerous times from a Biblical response and I've rarely ever gotten a response from you? (Let's see if you again prove yourself to be consistent in this regard)

My sons didn't get to the furbearing trout but they had their 8-year-old sister convinced of jackalope this summer when we were driving through Wyoming. The clincher was the gas stop where the convenience store had a jackalope head mounted and the postcards in the rack. At that point, I pulled the plug on the joke.

Since turn-about is fair play, maybe I should take my sons snipe hunting...

"Did you go high enough into the mountains to go after furbearing trout?"

Nah, we're in SoCal, not in the Northern regions of the US where that species of trout is purported to be found. ;^)

Fortunately, we had enough cold/wet weather gear available for those Scouts who weren't as "prepared" as they should have been. Some minor "whining", but we got them through it.
