WE are approaching, not the end of the world, but the end of this age. How, then, will this present era end?
Many of the popes have written in prayerful anticipation of a coming age when the Church will establish her spiritual reign to the ends of the earth. But it is clear from Scripture, the early Church Fathers, and the revelations given to St. Faustina and other holy mystics, that the world must first be purified of all wickedness, beginning with Satan himself.
THE END OF SATAN’S REIGN
Then I saw the heavens opened, and there was a white horse; its rider was called "Faithful and True"… Out of his mouth came a sharp sword to strike the nations… Then I saw an angel come down from heaven… He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, which is the Devil or Satan, and tied it up for a thousand years… (Rev 19:11, 15; 20:1-2)
It is this "thousand year" period which the early Church Fathers called a "sabbath rest" for the people of God, a temporal time of peace and justice throughout the entire earth.
A man among us named John, one of Christs Apostles, received and foretold that the followers of Christ would dwell in Jerusalem for a thousand years, and that afterwards the universal and, in short, everlasting resurrection and judgment would take place. St. Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho, Ch. 81, The Fathers of the Church, Christian Heritage
But in order for there to be true peace on earth, among other things, the adversary of the Church, Satan, must be chained.
…so that he could no longer lead the nations astray until the thousand years are completed. (Rev 20:3)
…the prince of devils, who is the contriver of all evils, shall be bound with chains, and shall be imprisoned during the thousand years of the heavenly rule
4th century Ecclesiastical writer, Lactantius, The Divine Institutes, The ante-Nicene Fathers, Vol 7, p. 211

You know very well that Catholics read and believe the Scriptures. Goodness my Bible Study group is approaching the size that it is going to be split. Have 11 people right now. The other one has 8.
Footnote: Catholics read the entire unedited Bible, not the corrupted one and edited one that Protestants read.

Following Blessed Anna Maria Taigi's vision, it might be wise to pack away (somewhere very easy to get to) blessed candles (enough for three days), matches, and it wouldn't hurt to have a container of holy water and several rosaries (and holy reading) at the ready as well. From the post:
THE FINAL DAYS OF THE AGE
Just exactly how the wicked will be struck by "the rod of his mouth" is uncertain. However, one mystic, loved and praised by the popes, spoke of an event that will purge the earth of evil. She described it as "three days of darkness":
God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions, and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles… All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (1769-1837), Catholic Prophecy

The other one has 8.Some of you may, but y'all don't know what your reading...I'd like to go to a Catholic bible study just to watch you guys skip over the verses that you don't like and can't understand...
Yesterday on Fox News, they had a segment where a reporter was asking 'Christians' on the street questions about the Bible...
It showed one fella coming out of a Catholic church after Mass and the reporter asked him if he could name the first four books of the New Testament...And of course he couldn't...Unimaginable to me...
Footnote: Catholics read the entire unedited Bible, not the corrupted one and edited one that Protestants read.
You can read all the xtra books you want...It won't gain you anything...
Put down the Catholic reading guides and you'll be amazed what you'll find in the scriptures...

The prophecy goes against the theme of scripture...God will in fact destroy religion...And as one can see, God will destroy the Roman based church as told in the book of Revelation...
This woman is known in the scriptures as a 'false prophet'...

Do you feel Padre Pio is also a false prophet? He's nuttier than a fruitcake...
No harm will come to those who are in the state of grace and who seek My mother's protection.
That you may be prepared for these visitations, I will give you the following signs and instructions: The night will be very cold. The wind will roar. After a time, thunderbolts will be heard. Lock all the doors and windows. Talk to no one outside the house. Kneel down before a crucifix, be sorry for your sins, and beg My Mother's protection.
I liked the part where he says the beginning of this disaster will begin with the war of 1950...
I thought your Catholic theology claimed there would be no great tribulation period...That your religion IS the Kingdom spoken of by Peter...And you guys will spread the Kingdom (your religion) and everything will get better and better until Jesus returns...

I asked the Religion Moderator to take out that comment as I could find no backup from the Church on that in regard to Pio ... I’m not sure of the other woman ... I’m still going to hang on to my blessed candles, though. :)

The following tells about a punishment if we do not better ourselves. This was given to Sr. Agnes Sasagawa from the Blessed Virgin Mary (at Akita, Japan), and has been deemed "reliable and worthy of belief."
OCTOBER 13, 1973
"My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior."
After a short silence:
"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as no one has ever seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only consolation which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests."
"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
"The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If mankind's sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them."
Editors note: This is interpreted to mean, that at some point mankind as a whole may no longer have any reprieve from the consequences of it's apostasy into a life style of denial of sin, and it's nearly complete rejection of morality and religion. "Pardon", now, is being obtained constantly for all of mankind: which hold's back the just hand of God. If sins continue to increase, mankind as a whole will no longer be excused by God's mercy. If the weight of the sins of mankind tip the scale of divine justice too far: a global act of divine retribution will be sudden, swift, and severe. Pardon on an individual level is always possible.
"With courage, speak to your superior. He will know how to encourage each one of you to pray and to accomplish works of reparation."
"It is Bishop Ito, who directs your community."
She smiled and then said: "You have still something to ask? Today is the last time that I will speak to you in living voice. From now on you will obey the one sent to you and your superior."
"Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved."
JUNE, 1988 -- Vatican City -- Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect, Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, gives definitive judgment on the Akita events and messages as reliable and worthy of belief.

I read two books on Padre Pio. I do not remember that one. But there is a lot of speculated Quotes from him. I would take it with a grain of salt. Also if someone predicts something it can change like Jonah’s message of destruction to nineveh. They repent and prayed. So it did not happen.

I’d welcome you any day to my Bible Study group. We don’t skip lines in Scripture, for your information.
** if he could name the first four books of the New Testament..**
This is unimaginable. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, — want me to keep going?
