Only reliable way to find out is to throw her body into the river and see if it floats.

Was executed Virginia woman, Teresa Lewis, really a Christian?

If she was then she's a dead Christian.

Is it possible for someone to be a Christian and do something that cold and corrupt?

Why do people think that being a Christian means you become sinless? This shows a complete misunderstanding of Christian faith.

Christians, like all humans, engage in sin because we are sinners first. While Christ will offer unlimited forgiveness for those sins, He does NOT automatically set aside the worldly consequences of that sin. Thinking otherwise also misrepresents the faith.

If this person sincerely asked for forgiveness of all of her sins from Jesus before she was executed, then she will have had no problems getting into heaven.

She was a major sinner, so obviously not a Christian.

I am not reading the whole article, but there are bad people who happen to claim — and worship under — every faith. No faith is immune.

In my religion it is said, and I believe it to be true for all, that G-d provides a good option in every choice a human has to make. She chose evil.

I see no reason to stay an execution just because a murderer is a "Christian." Coming to faith in Christ does not exempt one from governmental punishment for murder. Christ's blood covers one's sins in the eyes of God, but not in the eyes of the government.

If she truly has faith in God and His Son, and committed this deed, the sooner she is sent to the presence of God, the better.

I think she’s like those liberal DemocRATS who are always telling the morons in the “media” that they are “a Republican that voted for Bush, TWICE, and have a son/daughter serving in Iraq but now support Obama”. See my tag.

Does it matter? Should “real” Christian converts be exempt from the death penalty after committing a capital crime? It’s not unusual for prisoners to “find the Lord” in prison.

We can only judge her actions, not what her state of grace with God is. I hope she made peace with Him for her spirit’s sake.

If she was a Christian, then her supporters ought to be happy to send her to heaven.

Becoming a Christian only absolves you of your sins. You still must pay for your crimes.

If she was, at the time of her death, she’s with the Lord now. How bad can that be?

If we could only measure the tempurature of her current surroundings ...

For the purposes of her punishment, it doesn’t matter. She did the crime, she’s gotta take her licks. I hope she found Christ before it was over.

I have no idea if she was a christian but see no reason people in prison couldn’t repent and be saved.

Only she and Jesus know the truth of that and at this point neither are saying much.

Christians are not and should not be exempt from punishment for wrongdoing. 1 Peter 2:20 “But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it?”

If she did not believe in God, she certainly does now. James 2:19 “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.”

Was she a believer when she died? Only God knows the heart but her actions should display a love for God or not. 1 John 3:10 “This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.”

Does it matter? If she was a Christian and had asked for forgiveness then she could be in heaven as I type but there are temporal punishments for actions in this world. The people are still dead, their relatives still have to live without them and she was culpable.
