Yom Teruah, better known as Rosh Hashannah, is upon us. I'd thought about creating a nice, elaborate blog post, but decided instead to take the opportunity to plug my book, When the Stars Fall, Vol. 1, by linking to the .pdf of the sample of Interlude 5: The Feast of Trumpets. Here are a few highlights to whet your appitite:

However, [Rosh Hashannah is] not it’s Biblical name, which is Yom Teruah, the Day of the [Trumpet] Blast:

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing [of shofars], a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.’”51

In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing [of shofars] to you.52

In each of these passages, “shofars” is in brackets because it’s not actually in the Hebrew text; however, teruah can and usually does mean to sound the trumpet (though it can mean to shout with a voice as well) and the use of a shofar on this day is considered so axiomatic that there is literally no debate in Jewish tradition on the matter. The shofar may be made from the horn of any kosher animal save that of the bull, in memory of the sin of the golden calf.

That is a tradition. It is not in the Tanakh.

There are now vowels (or punctuation) in the TaNa"KH. It is nothing but a string of consonants. The vowels and punctuation (without which the text would be indecipherable) are part of the Oral Tradition.

The Torah instructs Israel to slaughter animals "as I have commanded" but doesn't contain the laws referred to.

The Torah commands that certain sacrifices be "heaved" and others be "waved" but doesn't explain what how these rituals are to be carried out.

The laws for the calculation of the new moon and the intercalation of leap years are only hinted at in the barest way. None of them are included in the TaNa"KH. Even the Qara'im (who claim to go by the Bible alone) have to depend on an ancient unwritten tradition to do these things.

The laws for correctly writing down a kosher copy of the Torah so that it will be correct and fitting for use in the public readings are not given in the Torah.

All these things, without which the Jewish religion could not have survived after one year, are found only in the Oral Tradition. Those Protestant chr*stians who depend on the Jewish Oral Tradition for their Bibles and their calendars but who dismiss the Oral Tradition are being illogical and hypocritical to boot.

Protestantism's argument with Catholic and Orthodox chr*stianity has nothing to do with Judaism. The "sola scriptura" argument is out of place here.

I'm sorry, but I'm tired of the people 'caught up' and lost in their 'tiny' little vanities. They don't have a Biblical understanding of the Word. Despite, the words of Jesus when knowledge shall increase' (doubling at an astounding rate of once every 240 days) They cling to old understandings, they won't look at anything new that rocks their boats. What we know about Jesus today is far more than anyone outside of maybe his Apostle's.

You asked two good questions in one. Regarding the strengthening of the covenent with death, when did it happen? Who's powerful enough to make this covenant stick?

First, only one man alive and living on this planet today is capable. He's the Anti-Christ and the POTUS. He gave a speech, which 'just happened' to occur exactly at the prophetic begining of the Tribulation. Of course, nobody understood it at the time. You may watch it for yourself on Youtube.

The stars and other 'heavenly' bodies arranged themselves at one exact date and time, which completes the prophetic symbolism of the beginning of the Tribulation.

The time that the celestial event occured (the woman clothed with the sun and the moon beneath her feet) was at 8:00 PM eastern standard time, The sun follows the ecliptic against the backdrop of stars from earth perspective (geocentric), traveling a little less than one degree per day making a full rotation of 360 degrees in 365.25636 days.

I found that the Revelation 12 woman with the wings of an eagle (constellation Virgo) was 'fully clothed' with the sun at her ankle (the star representing it), which occurs October 29-30 each year.

However, the Biblical narrative adds another qualifier. A second sign, which is the 'moon beneath her feet' (also represented by a particular star for the lowest foot). The only moment in this generation both those occurred (clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet) was satisfied on October/29/2008 at 8:00 PM EST. On Oct. 29, 2008, Barack Hussein Obama revealed himself as the Antichrist, (at least to MANY discerning Christians), by confirming his covenant with millions and millions of people to CHANGE THE WORLD.

The Famine Week started on this day, the day that Daniel 9:27 was fulfilled. The Famine Week will conclude EXACTLY 7 JEWISH YEARS LATER, on Feast of Atonement, Sept. 23, 2015, that day that everything is pointing towards. I believe with all my heart that NOW WE CAN KNOW THE APPOXIMATE TIME OF THE RAPTURE, BECAUSE OF WHAT HAS BEEN CONCEALED IN GENESIS 45!!!

Let’s now take a very close look at Genesis 45. It is my very strong conviction that this chapter is the FORETELLING OF THE APPROXIMATE TIME OF THE RAPTURE. If you will follow closely, and be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, I believe many of you will agree. Remember now, Jesus said that ALL things have been FORETOLD to us, meaning in the Old Testament. Jesus also says, that we COULD KNOW THE TIME! KNOW! K-N-O-W!

Now that the identity of the Antichrist, Barack Hussein Obama, has been revealed, and the EXACT time frame of the 70th Week of Daniel has been made so VERY obvious to us, WE CAN KNOW THE TIME OF THE RAPTURE. It is the ONLY way we could KNOW. Everything has always been speculation. No one has ever known the time, yet JESUS SAID WE COULD KNOW. 'Obama’s Covenant with Many', it hit me like a bolt of lightning. 'IT HAS HAPPENED'

The first opportunity I had I got out my Strong’s Concordance and did a word study on Daniel 9:27, which says, 'And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week' What we, as Bible students have always been taught, is the Antichrist will sign, or strengthen, a 7-year peace treaty with Israel and several other countries.

This is another of our pre-conceived ideas, that I now believe has proven to be false. It is a theory that has been derived from an overall study of Bible prophecy. There is certainly no Scripture that says the Antichrist will sign, or confirm, a 7-year peace treaty with Israel and several other nations.

When Jesus came the first time, very, very few recognized Jesus as the Messiah. It was because of their pre-conceived ideas, from misinterpreting Scriptures, that they got it wrong. Do not let your pre-conceived ideas about the Antichrist and a 7-year peace treaty with Israel, and a Rapture before the Final 7 Years begins, keep you from seeing what has just taken place. ANTICHRIST HAS CONFIRMED THE COVENANT AND THE FINAL 7 YEARS, OR THE 70TH WEEK OF DANIEL HAS BEGUN We can know it has begun because of what has taken place on Oct. 29, 2008!

Here is what my word study in the Hebrew has revealed to me. Of all the words in that verse, the word 'covenant' was the hardest to gain insight on. There was nothing about a peace agreement, nothing about a treaty. In fact, in the Hebrew, there was nothing even anything remotely suggesting that 'the covenant' was any type of peace agreement, or a treaty of any kind. Study it for yourself. Covenant means to come together, to be of one mind, and promises.

The Hebrew for 'week' does mean seven years. There is nothing in the Hebrew to suggest the word 'many' would involve a peace treaty with a handful of Middle East countries, as we have been let to believe. Instead, the Hebrew word 'many', indicates an abundant number, ten thousands, or millions, a HUGE number, or a multitude. The Hebrew meaning of 'confirm’ would indicate to strengthen, to put more strength to, to prevail, to exceed, to be great, to be mighty.

I do believe the “he” in Daniel 9:27, does represent the Antichrist, who comes in Daniel 7:25 'to CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS'. Based on the word study on Daniel 9:27, which says, “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week”, here is what I believed happened on October 29, 2008:

Barack Hussein Obama put himself on nationwide TV, on 7 major TV networks, and in front of over 33 million people, confirmed, or strengthened, or re-affirmed, or summarized his platform, his promises, to be of one mind and to all come together, or his COVENANT with the people. He strengthened his covenant (his promises). The intention of his covenant, or his promises, was not only TO STRENGTHEN, but also to PREVAIL on Election Day, to EXCEED during his presidency, TO BE GREAT, and TO BE MIGHTY. The title of his message was, “A Closing Argument to the Everyman”.

I would say that Everyman would sure include a whole lot of people. Besides the 33 million that watched his speech on Oct. 29 on TV, millions more saw it later on news broadcasts and on the Internet. Certainly, the 'many' involved an abundant number, a huge number, a multitude, yes, millions upon millions of people, not just a handful of countries that we have come to expect the 'many' to represent.

During this speech, Obama said he was going to change the country and CHANGE THE WORLD!!! His main platform has been to 'PREPARE FOR CHANGE'. Daniel 7:25 says the Antichrist is coming to CHANGE times and laws. The 'confirming of the covenant with many for ONE WEEK', simply was put in Scripture so we could identify the 70TH WEEK of Daniel.

In other words, God is allowing us to identify the Antichrist and the first day of the 70th WEEK of Daniel at the same time. I BELIEVE GOD IS SAYING THAT WHEN YOU SEE A PRIME CANDIDATE FOR THE ANTICHRIST CONFIRMING A COVENANT (OR PROMISES) IN FRONT OF MANY (MILLIONS AND MILLIONS) ON THE VERY SAME DAY THAT CALCULATES OUT TO BE THE VERY FIRST DAY OF THE FINAL 7 YEARS, KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ENTERED THE 70TH WEEK OF DANIEL.

WHEN WE SEE AN OUTSTANDING CANDIDATE TO BE THE ANTICHRIST STRENGTEN OR CONFIRM HIS COVENANT OR PROMISES IN FRONT OF MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ON THE EXACT DAY THAT EVERYTHING POINTED TO BE THE FIRST DAY OF THE 70TH WEEK OF DANIEL, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO THINK? That it was all just coincidence? A word study of Daniel 9:27 in the Hebrew tells us that WHAT TOOK PLACE WITH OBAMA ON 0CT. 29, 2008, WAS, INDEED THE FULFILLMENT OF DANIEL 9:27.

I read the portion of the "book" and didnt get too far without being stuck by the errors and dissembling. Take this gem for example:

A real, kosher Torah scroll is the Word of God written on lambskin, impales on two shafts of wood (the rollers) which are called the Aytz Chaim (the Tree of Life), wearing a breastplate like the High Priest, robed in glory (the scroll cover, which protects it), and wearing one or more kingly crowns. Who is Yeshua? He is the Word of God in the skin of a Lamb, nailed to two pieces of wood which are to us a Tree of Life, now serving as our High Priest, robed in glory, and wearing many crowns on His head as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Yeshua is the Living Torah.

First of all, Torah scrolls can be written on any kosher animal but usually cow, goat or deer are used. You use the word "lamb" to give the false appearance of Jesus. Then you use the word "impales on two shafts of wood", again, sounds like Jesus huh? The scroll is sewn in three places to the woods. Then you call the rollers, atzei chaim, "the tree of life", once more sounding like Jesus. Atzei chaim means trees of life plural.

Then you proceed the the usual. Jesus is a lamb; no he was a human. Metaphors dont count. He is a high priest; no he is not of the correct tribe. And Melchizedek did have a genealogy, so that won't work either. Yeshua is a living Torah; no man is a living Torah. The messianic metaphors know no bounds. I think you should at least be honest in your book.

Blasater . . . I know it's annoying and infuriating. But listen to me . . . nothing you say matters to these people. They "know" Yushqa is the messiah because their Protestant bible has a "new testament" in it, and that's all there is to it. If it's in the Protestant bible, it's the "word of G-d."

You and I can point out a zillion inanities, but so long as their bibles have a "new testament" which they accept implicitly "the bible" will always authorize chr*stianity to these people.

In Protestantism the bible is self-authorizing. If it's between those two covers and has the Thomas Nelson or Zondervan trademark, then it's "the word of G-d."

Acutally I agree with you on all counts. It is a positive thing. Some of these Messianic folk arent even considered xtian by their orthodox counterparts. Buggman, Here is the text. Now read it again with prophetic eyes. Thinking about what the WORD tells us about the AC. Nothing in the political rhetoric of candidate Hussein matchs the abomidnable deeds of President Hussein. He has imposed a completely different form of government upon us; a dictatorship.
